Nathan Beaulieu vs. Oscar Klefbom

Who do you think will be the better defenceman in the NHL?

2 different style D-man.

Beaulieu if you are looking for #s

Kelfbom if you are looking for a shut-down d-man. Pick your poison.

It's hard to compare these guys as both are very different players, one is an offensive defenseman that will put up lots of points, the other is a defensive defenseman who will shut down the opponent's top lines and play on the PK.

It's like saying who's better between Dan Boyle and Josh Gorges. Both very different players.

A more appropriate poll choice could be, sticking with Oilers prospects, Beaulieu vs. J.Schultz or Beaulieu vs. Marincin.

Klefbom all around. Beaulieu has a lot of work to do defensively

I don't really know. I voted Beaulieu, but it's mostly wishful thinking. Most of us probably haven't seen a lot of Klefbom. He seems to be coming along nicely. I wouldn't trade Beaulieu for him, as a Habs fan, but it's easy to acknowledge that Klefbom is the less-risky prospect, and may well become the better one. But for now, I'm satisfied with Beaulieu for the Habs.

Offensively, Beaulieu.
Defensively, Klefbom.

Overall, we have to see if Beaulieu improves his D and if Klefbom can be better offensively.

This, Klefbom was touted as having good offensive instincts but didnt put up good #'s in the SEL, but improved his defensive game immensly.

Right now Bealieu is a bit ahead in the offense department

Depends what you want in a defenseman. NB is the better offensive player who brings speed while OK plays more of a two way style and brings size.

Voted Beaulieu, Klefbom's shoulder injury might set him back.

I haven't seen enough of Klefbom but I know Beaulieu has some serious work to do on his defense.
