I am beginning to think (moving forward) that our best goaltending prospect is Keith Kinkaid and not Wedgewood or Clermont.

A blockbuster trade with the Ducks for John Gibson and Bobby Ryan would solve a multitude of our problems in the future. The obvious question is what would it take to get both players.

Tallinder, Frazee, and a second for Gibson and Cogliano...

Nah, I'm just dreaming and the Ducks have absolutely no reason to do that.

Boucher is wrecking it. I'm really eager to see what he can do in Albany next year.

He will probably play there if his CHL season ends earlier. He did it last year as well.

Yeah, I`m sure he`d help us converting third downs.

Playing the PK doesn't mean he's good defensively. Look at Kovy. He has gotten better at positional defence but he's still not quite where we'd like a Devils forward to be. Since we are developing Boucher ourselves, we can take the time to make him good defensively before he makes the NHL.

Well it demonstrates a level of awareness positionally and faith in the coaching to put him in that situation.

Of course we can develop him better ourselves but if it comes down to him, tedenby, butler, who knows, and who knows then there is no reason to count him out. Matteau is good example, he is playing over several guys who are more experienced and whatnot albeit a bottom role.

Pietila had another goal last night, along with 5 shots on goal, 4 penalty minutes(unsportsmanlike conduct and slashing) and a +1.

Pietila could be a John Madden Lite in the making.

Reid Boucher scored again, a shorty for his 38th of the year. He has 32 goals in his last 30 games.

Sarnia up 2-1 over Windsor early. Reid Boucher has already scored his 38th of the season. It was shorthanded. #NJDevils

wut

Boucher's detractors always bring up his single dimension. But everyone that praises him talks highly of his surprising grit and work-ethic. I'm sure he still has miles to travel before he can even be considered a well-rounded player, but I think we'd be crazy at this point to not entertain the idea that maybe Boucher isn't as much of a "project" as we thought.

That's outstanding.

Two goals and an assist today. And all of those points are shorthanded. Madness.

Just the goal and assist so far. That Cordell tweet is incorrect.
