Yep, I haven't liked him one bit, defensively he's been terrible, offensively he's been mediocre.

Sabres play "Fireworks" by The Hip during break. They fail to bleep out when Gord sings, "You said you didn't give a (f) about hockey."

Get use to it. They'll call things on Ott like that every game he plays for you.

I love that Hartnell has boarded two guys from behind, and somehow is still playing in this game.

Hopefully the sabres will come into the third with some energy. Great seeing our guys stick up for themselves though. Something we would have never seen last year. I wonder who was the catalyst for that?

How can the refs miss all those boarding/hits from behind/flyers jumping at players and pick up an embellishment penalty to Ott? Hodgson is showing he is good offensively but he gave the puck away several times on the pp and gosh he is slow out there.

I think the only two dmen playing solid games are Sekera and Sulzer. Myers has been maddening. Horrible puck control and getting pushed around way too much.

Maybe this is a good time to make my 1st reference of the year to Ruff's system??

Anyways, I thought the Flyers PK was a bit passive in the 1st period and we scored. Next couple of times they were more aggressive.

No fan of Milbury but he did have a point.. If CoHo closes the gap on Giroux, that play never gets completed......

This. He better be getting a phone call this week with a fine and/or suspension.

See, I think Myers has been real sound in his own end. A couple of O-zone giveaways, but he's been physical and generally in good position.

Come on we're Buffalo....

We know how the rest of the country doesn't want us to win....

Nobody circles the wagons....

I want to give the kid (25) a few minutes on the PP. No pressure, only offense...

This is now Myers 4th year and he still is 1 second behind on the play. It's not just a phase or something he can work out of, it's who he is.

Other than letting Hartnell punch him in the face Stafford has been completely useless. Ennis has been all alone out there on most shifts.

Agreed, I liked that Stafford stuck up for Ennis there but he hasn't looked able to keep up with the pace out there.

I thought Myers played a good 1st period. He was physical and was a force on the PK. 2nd period was a different story

Myers issue is how soft he is on the puck and how it takes him an extra second to figure out where to distribute the biscuit. Away from the puck he has been ok, but with it...when he isn't simply clearing it down the ice...there is a lot he can improve on.

I've been impressed by Sulzer as well. Nice footwork along the boards. Seems to be playing the corners well, taking the right angles and not letting his checks escape.

Maddening is the best term for Meyers play. I don't want to hear any of that he's going thru another growth stage!

Agree about Myers... he floats around as much as he engages... Not a bad player but he could be SO much better if he played with some heart.
