it should be noted that Andy Greene, Mark Fayne, and Adam Larsson are not available unless a team wants to severely overpay.

Same. We really need a 2nd line tweener more than a bottom 6 forward so I think Franzen fits the bill.

Zubrus-Zajac-Kovy
Tedenby-Elias-Franzen
Butler/Matteau-Josefson-Clarkson
Carter-Gionta-Bernier

When Henrique is healthy, shift Elias to LW and put Henrique as C on line 2. Tedenby on line 3 LW and Butler/Matteau to AHL/Juniors respectively. Don't expect Matteau to last more than the 5 games anyways, even though he was really impressive last night for an 18 year old. Needs another year or so IMO.

Their value will rise this season, though - if trading one of them gives the team the scoring winger it needs, gotta do it. But, I don't think anyone sees them as valuable as we do right now.
Yeah and neither have a NTC or NMC so they're going to get us the best return.

Honestly I think the only untouchable d man on the current roster should be Larsson.

What if he rode shotgun to Kovy and Zajac?

Of course given his age it would take more than him for Kulemin... what would the Devils add?
This is intriguing. I'd like to see Kulemin on a line with Kovy and Zajac...

I dont know what else the Leafs need tho..

He has a NTC too.

Key here is using one of our extra defensemen as trade bait.. otherwise we still have too many defensemen after any trade.

I'll trade Gionta but this trade gets us nowhere.

Again, we have 8 defensemen who can play at the NHL level and only room for 6 + 1 scratch. Someone needs to go and return a forward (or pick).

Also, Kaberle is atrocious.

I've got one you've never heard.

Matt D'Agostini for Henrik Tallinder.

Been thinking happy thoughts about this one to will it to happen.
If we say it enough, it has to come true... right?

i feel like thats more of a deadline move for the leafs though no point in moving macarthur for picks now when we still in theory can compete

Teams usually wait until the 20 game mark before making any major moves. In a shortened season, probably the 10-15 game mark. If Frattin can turn his game around before then I'm sure Nonis will consider it.

I think the Devils would be wise to keep their first and 2nd round picks for the next few years. Especially since they have to give up a first either this year or next year for the Kovy penalty.

I predict the most likely to be traded is Tallinder.

Larsson won't be traded, that one is obvious. Same can be said for our new captain, Salvador.
Fayne and Greene are arguably the two best d-men and would take a damn good offer to get.
I doubt Zidlicky would waive his ntc( if he still has it)or Lou deals him, we need that pmd.
That leaves Volchenkov an Tallinder. With Volchenkov having a ntc it would be harder, I think he'd waive to a team like Ottawa if asked.

Tallinder just makes the most sense.

The idea of Greening, Franzen, MacArthur/Kulemin, D'Agostini or maybe a Wild winger(Setoguchi available?) are all appealing. Love the Franzen one.

Lam is an idiot for not giving up the 2012 pick.

Hopefully they have a strong 13/14 season. 2014 isn't as deep.

It looks good right now but long term Franzen's contract is going to hurt the Devils.
