Bruins looking for a scoring LW (proposals)

With Samsonov out of the lineup with a sprained MCL, Boston needs someone to replace him before they totally tank like last year. Offering Nick Boynton, a prospect and a draft pick for a proven 2nd line winger with scoring ability....

Make your offers..

Actually I don't want to move him but we could certainly use another young D for our group.

Would you take Lachance for a pick also?

* Lowe's ears perk up * : "Did someone say LW??"

You need to look no further than the Oilers. We have a boat load of LWs. The most available would be Isbister.

Isbister + 3rd (ish) for Boyton??

I dunno, just tossing out an idea.

i think axelsson is probably top 3 on the list of guys the bruins can least afford to lose. not surprisingly, they have sucked since he got hurt, and IMO is top 5 all-underrated in the entire league. gill for poti sounds fine to me, but axelsson for hlavac just won't happen.

Brian Savage for a 9th-round pick (or whatever the last round is).

Bondra is older but the guy just never stops producing. He can play both RW and LW and is better than Rolston on the point on a PP with that one timer of his.

he's older but relatively inexpensive based on salary. I dont think McPhee would take Boynton however based on the past.

If the Caps (most likely) are out of it by the deadline, Bondra will be moved unless they can get rid of Jagirl.

I'm sure the Caps would get alot of calls on him due to his friendly contract and scoring ability.

I think it would be a mistake to trade Boynton. I know he has had a rough season but he is young enough to bounce back and be a real asset to your team.

"Funny stuff ... "Offering Nick Boynton, a prospect and a draft pick for a proven 2nd line winger with scoring ability...." I take it you are the GM of the Bruins and have the power to make trades??"

I guess you missed the "proposal" part of the title of this thread.....

Nice Try. Next.

Sanderson? He's streaky so that might deflate his value.

Bates, Kvasha, Blake...heck you can have Yashin to play on LW!

Name your choice. (Assumption here is that Blake would be the only player of interest. He's cheap too - $600k.)

Players of interest in return:

Morrisonn? (not silly enough to expect Boyton for Blake :p )
Hilbert?
Picks?

Take it from there, if you wish.

The Oilers have way too many LW'ers. I think they would be the ideal trade partners for the Bruins.

Would a Brad Isbister and maybe a pick for Nick Boynton be of interest to Boston?

Oiler's LW'ers

Smyth
Torres
Isbister
Moreau
Chimera
Horcoff
Rita
Salmolainen

There is no point to get a 2nd LW if we want to give up our best defensivemen.

How about Isbister for Morrisonn, Mid Rounder??

Any interest in Huselius?? He's struggled a bit this yr but has consistently potted 20 goals/yr...is still young at 25 and might be had for a decent return right now. For Boynton, I'm sure FL could add a 2nd rounder to get it done or maybe more. FL wouldn't be interested in Morrisonn or Hilbert as those are 2 positions of strength in the prospects for FL (offensive d-men & center).

Yeah I'd be willing to let go of Huselius if it was for Nick Boynton, he fits perfectly with Florida's rebuilding program.

Hecht + 2nd for Boynton

Hecht is playing like a bull but the upgrade on D is too critical to pass up.

I guess SBOB wouldn't have made his proposal if he thinks Axelsson is OVERrated.
Gill / Poti straight up is abit uneven though.

Gill < Poti
Axelsson > Hlavac

I think valuewise it's fair.

Axelsson is the key player in this deal. He is arguably the Bruins best player, and please take me seriously. Year in and year out he has been overlooked as a Selke Candidate because the Bruins are not an elite team nor do they go far in the playoffs, but what Axelsson brings to the team is irreplacable.

We're only talking about this thread because Axelsson has been hurt. As soon as he went down, the Bruins have tanked. He's our best penalty killer, is absolutely terrific defensively and will not shy away from physical contact, even to the likes of Colin White and other gritty defensmen. He's always reliable for 10-15 goals and 25 pts a season, but he's a quiet leader on a team that really has no leadership right now.
