I agree with you as well, the Fedetenko goal should've been allowed, there was minimal contact, which happens all the time, pretty awful call.

The second disallowed goal was legit, the referee couldn't see it and it looked like Miller covered it up. There were bodies piling up in the crease and he likely wanted to avoid any possible injury that could occur. These calls happen all the time.

Karma for some goal that happened 10+ years ago. Makes sense.

Leave out the penalties. We know stuff gets ticky tacky and they are judgment calls. The two dissallowed goals were bad. I can see the refs argument, but they were really weak. If the refs could go back base off the video than I'm sure they would have err'd the other way.

HF I am disappoint.
I'm surprised it took until the second day of the season for the first ref thread. Unusual restraint by the citizens of HF country

Not the penalty... the disallowed goal one that was waived off due to goalie interference.

Miller had puck covered, along with Simmonds stick, who kept digging and dislodged the puck. Good work by Simmonds, but rules are that when the ref intends to blow whistle is when the play is dead, not even when teh whistle actually blows.

Tough one.

First one was a bad call and no Sabres fans are disputing it.

The first one was letter of the law. The law might suck but it's the right call.

As a neutral fan I thought the refereeing was pretty brutal, especially on the second disallowed goal. They need to start holding these guys more accountable for horses**t calls like that.

Just because being a referee is hard doesn't mean they should be defended for doing a s***ty job.

The momentum was clearly going Philly's way in the second period. The offense started clicking and they could have been leading 3-1.

Unfortunately the Flyers just have too much dead weight on the roster. Other than Giroux and Simmonds, it seems like no one knows how to find the net, and Simmonds hasn't been able to hit the broadside of a barn in the last two games. Hopefully when Briere comes back some chemistry can be regained. The Talbot-Couturier-Voracek line just ain't cutting it.

.
I am not disagreeing, it was a questionable call. But to say it was a momentum killer is a bit of a stretch.

It was early in the game and Philadelphia went on to take the lead later.

Do you realize what you just said? Two goals disallowed is completely normal and should not be complained about. Looks like I need a new league to follow.

You are out of your mind. He got scored on a defenseman deflecting in a puck on the door step, a 1-0 from Thomas Vanek, Ott loading up (completely uncovered) from inside the circle on a scrambling power play, and a break away where he made the initial stop and an uncovered man charges the net and pushes it in with his skate.

Did you watch the Flyers-Sabres game or a replay of the Canucks game from last night.

Goal calls were brutal, goalies have learned to embellish the **** out of things and the last no goal was just a ref blowing the whistle when he's not in a good position to see the puck. As for everything else (Flyer fans need to stop pretending Ott dived) it's early in the season and the referees are trying to make statements about interference related and unsportsmanlike related penalties. So, they're calling anything that look remotely as such.

just would like to point out on the 2nd dissallowed goal that the puck was not clearly over the line until way after the whistle. also it's the job of the ref down low to whistle down play when the goalie freezes the puck. At times thats an extremly difficult job has he only has a visual of the one side of the net. The play being blown down while the puck is loose is something that happens quite often.

The 1st however was the wrong call.

Every team will have a few of these games every season. Just have to put it behind you and move on. It is what it is.
