Red panda all the way. Actually, work the Panda in with the painting idea. "The Panda dubs thee ..."

Another vote for Red Panda. Anything else is unacceptable.

And then a frame with a Pens player with something like "getting down to business."

No wonder McGuire knew what was going to happen at the draft. He flew back from Philly with the coach.

Thanks.

That could work. He ends up being dead though. I was thinking in the lines of super hero nemesis's though.

I need an avatar with a Pens theme for the regular season. I like Mr.Sturrock, I really do, but it's hockey season. So, any suggestions?

Thinking of something to do with Sutter.

I don't know if I get the red panda thing...they were just a comfort/distraction during the playoff monstrosity, right?

Playoff avatars should be the books thing that won last year; theoretically since it's being discussed this early, someone should have time to make them. Besides, from the plus minus after game 2 at NYR:

How about an avatar thread built around 'where I worked during the lockout'?

I am not good at c&p but heads on various jobs could be fun.

Fry cook:

Astronaut:

Porn Star:

PA Turnpike Tollbooth attendant:

The possibilities are endless.

Bump because

only something like 7 or 8 weeks until playoffs start.

I would like to put in another plug for my 'what I did during the lockout' idea. More possiblities.

Lots of toilet time:

Chuck E. Cheese:

Worked for Disney (I think that Cooke would be great for this one):

Dated Taylor Swift and had a song written about me:

Really the possiblities are endless. Let's claim it before someone else does.

Hehe. Those are good. Male model for Tyler Kennedy (if he's still on the team)

Pic of someone pulled over arguing with cop about ticket, and/or an Olympic diver (Crosby) --->

Shero playing NHL13

Bylsma as zookeeper at Pgh Zoo Penguin exhibit -->

if we want to do the lockout theme, we need to get it up and running early because you know we won't be the only ones. overall I think its a decent idea. My two negatives are that lockout themes will be very common and aside from a few really good ones it'll probably end up with a lot of generic ideas. For every Paul Martin cooking eggs with a tiny bit of relevance, there will be 20 astronauts or porn stars that are just completely random.

That said, every idea ends up like that.

Other ideas.

Penguins Books. *****es love books.

Red Pandas

Or a theme about filling Geno and Neal's left wing spot. Pictures of different random people and what attribute we think will make them effective in that position and maybe then how many games they got and why they didn't stick. Probably just the first part.

Too bad there isn't more room on the avatars or we could do a Cooke / Kennedy PrOn movie title theme.

"Leg Lifter - Starring Matt Cooke"

"High & Wide - Starring Tyler Kennedy"

"Chest Shot - The Kennedy Conspiracy"

"Hog 'n' Shoot - a Kennedy Production"

The thing with the lockout theme is that the pictures are self explanatory. Everyone will get it immediately. And almost all will be funny. Simply cut and paste head and across the bottom something like the words 'my lockout job'.

If we do it would like Cooke as Peter Pan. That pic I linked. And we should lay claim to a theme soon before someone else does.
