I just shrugged it off when I saw the tweet today as I was doing other things but imo it seems a little expensive for 1 decent season of play.
Let's not forget he's playing with Kessel who is at part the reason for his offensive output. And what happens if Kessel jumps ship next season?.. They've got this guy for another 4 years and 5mil per with a possibility of his partner not returning.
Lupul is still a skilled forward, but is he worth 5 mil a season? Definitely hasty, but we can't expect GMs to operate as if their linemates will jump ship at first opportunity. I expect Nonis to persue re-upping Kessel as soon as possible, or the Leafs are an even bigger joke of an organisation than I figured.

What a tilt between Glass and Asham that was! Nice one. 2 seconds in. Staged. It was a beauty. Perhaps setting the tone for this game and rivalry. Loved it. I hope Peluso can be that guy for us. Staged or not, as I expanded on the other night with my own personal views of course, there is still a worthy place in the game for it. It's engraved within the game, and I hope it always will be.

I always thought it was a dick move to drop down and glove it out, glad something was done about it. It's like when playing an FPS and 2 snipers are going at it and the other guy decides to switch to his pistol.

Ya, I kind of doubt Peluso plays tomorrow either, though you never know seeing as Boston has some big, tough forwards in Lucic and Thornton. May not be a bad idea to play Peluso and see what he can offer. This would be a perfect game to see if he can skate, hit, be an asset and possibly fight if need be. The stage would be set as I think all of those ingredients could be used tomorrow vs the B's.
