Woah, Steve Begin just broke in on a shorthanded breakaway and hit the cross-bar. So close.

Again? I saw him do that in the first period a while ago.

Hmm. No, I saw the same play you saw. My stream was not live, for some reason.

Sutter with a faceoff violation penalty for using his hand. Must be a new rule I guess since I've never seen that called before.

Yeah it's a new rule. Can't play the puck with your hand at all on the faceoff if I understand it correctly.

Also you can't catch the puck like players used to do when it's in the air and have your glove closed on it... (at least that's what I understood from the announcers from one of the games yesterday)

Really? Should make for some interesting situations when a player breaks his stick in his own end and trying to defend.

Edit. Yeah Pierre McGuire brought up that rule yesterday when Crosby hit the puck with the back of his hand.

2-1 Sharks!

Yes, I am already in hardcore rooting against the Flames to have the best 2nd round pick mode.

I edited my post. Not totally sure if you can still hit the puck away with your hand while defending in your zone.

3-1 Sharks! Yes!

Rangers also down 3-1.

Would I enjoy the Rangers having just a disastrous season after all the hype? Yes, yes I would!

25 million dollar man Dennis Wideman is currently a -1 on the night with over 17 minutes played.

Oh god that would be glorious...

Parise has scored for Minny. Go 3 point game there, need both teams to finish ahead of CGY and NSH.

The "Unstoppable" Rangers seem to be having a tough time in their first 2 games.

Just so everyone knows, Bourque looked great in the season opener and as for Cammy...well I think that tire he likes to push around would have looked better.

I guess you don't want Jay Bouwmeester to finally make the playoffs this year then.. Pretty unreal that the guy is playing in his 10th NHL season and as never played in a single playoff game.

Vancouver misses Kesler bad. Healthy they should dominante the middle of the ice against the Oilers but they didn't tonight.
