It is my favorite spot. I am also saying that the 200 level is another favorite, but mid-300 level is ideal.

I'd rather see the play develop than be closer to the action and have a lot of blind spots.

I would to, but I can do that in 300 rows 2-7 just as well as I can rows 8-10.

I'm also probably in the minority but I'm a big fan of sitting behind the net. I like the video game up and down angle, watching the game the way the players see it.

Part of it has to do with the glass. I guess row five is about the best. I just hate that glass, man. I really, really do. It's protective but is a little too tall. Anything between rows five and ten in the 300 level is fine with me. It's really just splitting hairs. I haven't sat in the 200 since a playoff game a couple years back. Those were pretty damn good.

EDIT: By glass, I mean that one that is to help make sure people don't fall into the bottom level(s).

Culk is right, I prefer 200 center but the Lexus club fee is ridiculous, but 300 center is second. Glass is fun once in awhile or out of town.

The least blind spots of any seat on the ice as long as you are elevated.

If you are sitting lower level, you better be at center ice or your neck will hurt after a few minutes.

That glass sucks. Sat row 1 for a Bulls preseason game this year (free tix, only reason I was there ) and had to look through it the entire game. So obnoxious.

Yeah, last two times I sat down there I was in Minnesota and Columbus, got tickets from people on here that had season tix, sat a little toward center off the goal line where the Hawks shot twice.

Yes, it is awful. Glad I'm not the only one who seems to be annoyed by it.

I sat right at the faceoff dot in Nashville. I saw Weber absolutely kill Hossa from like ten rows up, but it was tough to see a few of the goals down at the other end.

Closest I've ever sat was row 4. The blind spots suck, especially with the penalty box.

Got to see this though

Closest I've sat was row 5. It was my first game ever. Saw Mario Lemieux and the Pens beat the Hawks, 1-0. Wish I would have appreciated 66 as much then as I do now. I obviously knew who he was, but I took for granted that I saw a HOFer that close.

I think I was at that game. Was it Fleury's debut?

No, it was his first road start and career shutout.

I guess I didn't know that until you said it. Wow.

CHICAGO - Two rookies made Ed Olczyk's return to Chicago a successful one.

Marc-Andre Fleury earned his first shutout and Konstantin Kolstov scored his first goal as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Chicago Blackhawks 1-0 Thursday night.

"This is my hometown, and coming back to where I started my career and finished my career, it's a special feeling," said Olczyk, who was drafted third overall by the Blackhawks in 1984. "I wish we could have played a couple more periods. It's our only time in here this year."

Pittsburgh won for just the second time this season (2-4-3) and snapped its four-game winless streak. Chicago's five-game unbeaten streak was snapped as the Blackhawks fell to 3-5-3 following a successful road swing.

"We did a lot of the things we wanted to do," Olczyk said. "Anyone who follows the game knows the first game after a four-game road trip is tough. I think we caught them on a good night."

Fleury, the No. 1 pick in this year's draft, stopped 20 shots to get the win in his first road start. Fleury, who faced at least 32 shots in his first five games, had to concentrate to stay in the game.

"You have to stay more focused by yourself," he said. "When you have more shots, it's maybe easier because you stay active for the whole game."

Pittsburgh generated only 19 shots, but got one past backup goaltender Michael Leighton.

After taking a pass from Martin Straka, Kolstov made a quick move around center Brett McLean and backhanded the puck over Leighton's right pad in the second period.

"He was smiling ear-to-ear," Olczyk said. "The face shield couldn't hide it."

With just under four minutes left, the Blackhawks finally started applying some offensive pressure, but the inexperienced Penguins held on.

"We haven't played with too many leads," Olczyk said. "We've been playing from behind a lot of games."

With the Blackhawks swarming the net, Olczyk looked like a veteran coach when he called a timeout after a defenseman had to shove a loose puck to Fleury with just under three minutes left.

"I wanted to get the guys settled down," Olczyk said.

Notes:@ Chicago LW Eric Daze missed his eighth straight game due to a stiff back. He will be re-evaluated in two weeks. ... Chicago LW Jason Strudwick injured his wrist in the first period and didn't return. ... The Blackhawks lost their 150th game at the United Center, which opened during the lockout-shortened 1994-1995 season. The Blackhawks are 160-150-46 there.

Closest I've sat was row 2, behind the net. Free tickets they gave to AHAI members during the dark days. Was right after the Bears beat the Seahawks in the NFC Divisional in '07. Lost to the Wild on a bull **** no goal call in the shootout. Refs said no goal but blown up you could see white between the puck and the goal line.

I had first row penalty box seats to a Hawks Avs playoffs game back in the 90s. Unique experience because Daze was check into the glass in front of me, and I thought I was going to die right then and there. Other than that though they were crappy seats bc you couldn't see half the game.

Sat in the 200 level once before, but again was back in the 90s... Don't think it was the Lexis club then. Got to
sit in the boxes once or twice as well, which are nice. Since then, I've always chosen the 300 level because you can see the whole ice, you can see the whole crowd. It's just something else up there.

They didn't make any changes, just a name.

Funny I saw my former boss (until he quit 2 months ago) won a signed puck today. He doesn't follow the Hawks lol...at least I never heard him speak of them nor did he ever chime in when we talked about the Hawks at work.

My first game was Pens-Hawks in the 90's.

I know my bad Blackhawk hockey. Kyle Calder whiffed on a tap in and then in the third beat Fleury only to have the puck hit both posts and not go in.
