I don't see the Hawks chances as any less because Emery is starting. I guess that's my lack of faith in Corey Crawford.

I don't think Emery starting is going to be the dealbreaker here.

If the Hawks can control the puck, and actually manage to score on Smith, I think they'll be fine.

Hawks dominated the Coyotes in majority of that playoff series. Without the playoff atmosphere, I don't think Smith will perform as well as he did in the playoffs. Blackhawks should get at least 3 this game. Blackhawks will most likely control the time of possession game and win this one.

And watch Mike Smith take ten minutes to gather himself before finally deciding to stay in the game.

I expect Smith to take a step back this year. Hopefully it starts tonight.

So how does everyone feel about Shaw at #3C?

Also, is Mayers really starting at #4C and Kruger a healthy scratch?

I'd say one brings more than the other.

Laughable comparison, at best. One belongs in the NHL, the other does not.

Bollig does know his role, though.

They're seriously playing Bollig over Kruger coming off of what may be the best he's ever looked on NA ice? Oi.

I like Bollig too but not at the expense of Kruger. Is Rozy in tonight?

Ahh. Refs called an interference penalty in the nucks/oilers game a minute ago after a dump and chase, so glad they're calling it this year.

I meant that one of them could be playing, one of them not. I never said they were equal.

And now people are defending Kruger, after a simple confusion.

Wow! This bench clearing brawl with the Icehogs last night is nuts. They were just showing it. Hutton dropping bombs!
