Very similar to last year, they couldn't get much going. They'll put it together soon. That 3rd period showed signs of competence albeit still having its fair share of frustrating moments.

The Pens dominate us alot and the Bruins are another of the best teams in the league. When we play teams like the Leafs, Jets, or Islanders we will probably look like last season again.

Torts never should've started Hank. We only have 6 back-to-back sets of games this year. Biron should start one of the games in every one of those sets.

I'm willing to bet that Biron gets the start against Boston.

I think Biron owns Philly. He'll probably play against them.

We'll beat Boston. It'll probably be a very ugly game. Nash and Cally have to play like they did and Gabs and Richie need to follow them.

this is a bad hockey team
there was zero chem out there. These guys look like a collection of really good hockey players who have never played together.
The lack of a camp or preseason games is really hurting us.

I will say this: Nash looks like he belongs out there with guys like Malkin and Crosby. He is of that caliber.

He's definitely more of the takeover-the-game tier a la Malkin than Gaborik is.
Very impressive so far.

Gaborik gets touched gently and he's off the puck

I feel like this has been talked about every year, but I'll quickly say this:
Gaborik's job is to get the puck in a scoring position and score, not to carry the puck.
That's why he was so successful last year. Stepan and Richards set him up when he found space.
Nash is going to be the guy who powers towards the net.
I am not disagreeing with you, but he shouldn't be carrying the puck.

Yes, but he's a dynamic player. That should be a part of his game. He's not going to be having the puck every time because of Richards or whatever wing or center he's playing with. He can do it.

Gabby is incognito and I mean that even in a good sense. He's not going to break every ankle on the ice and take over games. He'll just quietly pot a few without anyone even knowing he was there.
