Orpik crushes Kreider at the end of a 6-3 game with a clean but huge hit. The Rangers on the ice stand around blinking.

Minnesota is the team I'm rooting for in the West, really like what they've done with the team and it's just a great hockey atmosphere over there. I'm also a huge Parise fan.

Kassian and Eager going at it. It's good to see that Kassian found his fire again after getting moved to 'Couver. Having him and Foligno in the lineup together would have been great, though ultimately the Sabres need for a center outweighed the need for two powerforwards.

Kassian busted Eager up pretty good. It's a good thing for Ben he managed to grapple to the ground because that might've gone badly.

Always good to hear Kassian is doing well, we never play Vancouver so I'm fine if he turns out to be a beast.

So sounds like Kassian decided to show up for his 1 good game every couple weeks.

Kassian was a monster last night.

However, as someone else pointed out, Vancouver fans are obsessed with comparing Hodgson and Kassian. It's natural, and we do the same thing now and then, but for them it's much more intense. They seem to hate Hodgson, while we still root for Kassian.

Weird. Anyway, the goaltending situation is now a huge mess in Vancouver.

I see this with almost every Vancouver fan. CoHo really wasn't being played fairly with his skills, etc. Buried on a 3rd line and wasn't happy. They hate him for being unhappy. Kassian was sent somewhere better for him. Van needed a Kassian. We just happened to have Foligno who IMO is better than Kassian, and a few others we have outweighed him.

Same here. It's.... amazing.

Also - Chris Tanev is playing fantastic for Vancouver right now. They're all falling all over him on the Canucks board. It's awesome to see a Rochester product do well yet again

The anger towards Hodsgon likely comes from the belief he wanted out if Vancouver. I would imagine Sabre fans wouldn't be too happy with a former Sabre if they wanted out.

I noticed this, too. I think it's because a majority of their fanbase thought they got screwed in that deal, so they desperately want Kassian to prove otherwise. At the same time, they want Hodgson to fail... proving it was a good deal.

Or they're bitter, or because he wanted out...who knows!?

The deal is working out great for both teams,
