hemsky first star.

if the oilers can depend on guys like gagner and hemsky to show up, it's going to take a lot of pressure off the kids.

Edmonton didn't even have to use their young guns.

Kruger was consulting Smyth and Horcoff on the bench before the shootout. He seems to be winning the respect of the vets and rookies. Oilers looked dangerous.

I'm torn when it comes to Edmonton. They have a great young exciting hockey team, but their fans can be annoying as all hell. Guess folk can get that way though when their team sucks forever and they finally have something to cheer for. Ah well watched like nine hockey games in the past nine days and loving CenterIce so far.

The Ravens vs the Patriots was actually a very good game

Defense doesn't exist anymore! Lol I'd be curious to see the number of oddman rush the yotes have given.

It will be interesting to see how Mike Smith does this year. I really think teams like Phoenix can inflate the stats of goaltenders. Saw him play a bit in the playoffs and he did make some nice saves, but not sure he should be thought of as a top end goaltender. Just look at ol Bryz once he left the desert.

Defense all around the last few days have been pretty ******. For many teams. Rangers, Vancouver, Detroit, LA.

Its been crazy!

Agreed. We'll never know how good he actually is as long as he plays in this system.

Also if the hawks can get decent/good goaltending I think they are serious contenders this year.

If not for the car accident Heatley woulda been a top 5 player. He blew out both knees i think.

I think he along with Alfie are the 2 greatest players to ever don a Sens uniform. An argument can be made for Chara and Spezza but Hossa has been so freaking consistent for so long and plays a great 2 way game.

edit to add Hasek as well
