Which year did the Wings ice the most stacked roster?

Was it 04? Wasnt there a year that both Luc and Zetterberg were on the roster?

I thought these were the lines from one of the years.

Shanahan-Yzerman-Hull
Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Zetterberg
Robitaille-Fedorov-Williams
Maltby-Draper-McCarty
x-Devereaux, Avery

Lidstrom-Schnieder
Chelios-Duchesne
Dandenault-Woolley
x-Fischer, Wallin

Hasek

Probably 01-02. Went into the playoffs with:

Shanahan - Fedorov - Yzerman
Devereaux - Datsyuk - Hull
Grind Line
Robitaille - Larionov - Holmstrom
Avery

Lidstrom - Olausson
Chelios - Fischer
Duchesne - Dandenault

Hasek

the 02-04 teams had Lewis behind the bench, Joseph in net, Robitaille, Hull, and Shanahan all playing like deadweight by the end. The 02-03 team had terrible luck with blueline injuries. Fischer was out early, and Chelios played injured/out a good chunk of the year. For a while there it was Lidstrom leading a rotating group of Wallin, Kooz, Bykov, Dandenault, Woolley, Boileau....he should have won the Hart that year.

'01-02 was unreal...you'll never see a team like that ever again.

96-97 for me, those guys were much closer to their prime. Still the best team they have iced for me.

Like the 01-02 gang but I don't know that was at the height of some of those guys talents, I thought a lot of the 97 Cup team was at that point.

'55 was pretty inspiring. '02 too. My personal favorite is '97 however.

Not sure about the line combos but 2003-04 featured

Shanahan-Datsyuk-Hull
Zetterberg-Yzerman-Whitney
Holmstrom-Williams-Thomas
Maltby-Draper-McCarty

Lidstrom-Schneider
Hatcher-Chelios
Fischer-Woolley

Hasek
Legace

Though Hatcher was hurt most of the season...maybe someone knows the actual line-up?

I liked that 2004 for most that didn't win a Cup of these Ken Holland builded teams.

I remember when they started the season with Lidström-Hatcher -pairing and that was truly the most dominating shut-down defence pair ever I have ever seen... ...and then Hatcher blowed his knee. That fun lasted for 15 games. Then he was at 50% condition at the playoffs, started warming up again, and the Flames beat us up at 2nd round.

Founded some old writings... Playoff lines:

Whitney - Zetterberg - Yzerman
Shanahan - Lang - Holmström
Thomas - Datsyuk - Hull
Maltby - Draper - McCarty
(13.Devereaux, 14.Williams)

Lidström - Schneider
Hatcher - Chelios
Fischer - Dandenault
(7.Woolley, 8.Rivers)

Legace
Cujo
(Lamothe)
