Yeah. Phoenix does not look good at all. Both of their goals probably should've been stopped. So many turnovers/mistakes. They just don't have any creativity in the offensive zone. I know the Blues are no offensive wizards, but Phoenix's attack just looks so predictable.

EDIT: Smith has looked horrendous tonight. 3 softies. Now the Yotes score two quick ones to make it a game, 5-4. Hawks defense hasn't impressed me one bit in either of their games. They can score with the best of them, but they won't go anywhere in the playoffs playing this poor of defense. And as I'm typing, Smith lets in another, probably should've had that one too, but it's not as bad as the others.

How many of these high scoring sloppy games have there been now?

Blues changing basically nothing could really give us a leg up early in the season.

People forget that Minnesota was top in the West for the early part of last season before injuries decimated them. This was before they added all the star talent this offseason. They'll need some adjustment time, but they're a well-coached team. I'll be shocked if they don't make the post-season.

Also, I'm starting to become a believer that San Jose is going to be in the playoffs. I was premature to think they'd fade.

Would be nice to see Detroit and Vancouver miss the playoffs but thats wishful thinking.

I believe they will too. What changed your mind though? Lol. They've only played 1 game and it was against the Flames lol.

Because they looked hungry and they will probably sign Gomez to add needed depth. Also factoring in a couple teams that I think won't be in the playoffs there is room for them in their division.

Pretty cool that fellow Austrian Vanek had a good game, eliminated the Flyers on his own (if you're not counting the refs)

And its funny how happy Leafs fans are with the Lupul signing. They clearly have no clue how really good contract look like

As long as he stays injury free, it will probably be a good contract for the first couple of years. After that... anyones guess.

The benefit we have with our forwards is that how we play somewhat limits their offensive output and lower points does translate to lower $.

Anyone suprised that the Rangers have started 0-2? Getting Boston & Pittsburgh back to back, that's brutal, LOL.

Colaiacovo is a joke. I am so glad we don't have to see him lay on the ice for a couple minutes or run to the dressing room every single game anymore. Boy that got old quickly.

I feel sorry for him. I honestly believe he has a mental issue (like hypochondria, but with injuries instead of illnesses). I think he's so scared of getting hurt that he convinces himself the slightest thing is a major injury.

Either that or he's just a ****....
