I'm not getting why they're keeping the same defense. I just don't get it.
Not that I expect to win today, but the D was not really the issue against NJ. Maybe the thought is don't try to fix what isn't broken? Weight seemed to think the D was good on Saturday. I thought so too. Cappy needs to see Finley with his own eyes from the bench. I want Hickey in the lineup, but I'm not going to go nuts about a waived dman that hasn't played an NHL game yet.
Let's worry about our forwards actually scoring today. Or even better, a forward not named JT or MM scoring.
Am I actually hearing that "We need to put in one waiver pickup over another or over a FA pickup" in game 2 of this season? Game 2? Sure I think Nabby stood on his head we have just as many games as other teams. We lost a game. Give it two more mediocre games.
Maybe Cappy has to see them? Maybe the Isles know Hickey is the best guy and at least want to give the other guys a fair shot first (for whatever reason)?
I am sure Hickey is good, but he was also a pickup on waivers. Making him better OR worse than anyone now (game two), is crazy.
I've rewatched the game and Nabby saved them so many times. This might be true.
Isles were sloppy but they didn't play so poorly. They had their chances too.
Okposo looked really sloppy and out of sync. The players who hadn't played didn't look great, though Boyes got better as the game went on (but he's new to the whole team as well, extra tough for him)
Hickey and Martinek should absolutely play against a team like Tampa.
Yeah, I re watched it this morning as well. I guess we're gluten's for punishment? Frans and Grabs played great defensively.... I think When Bailey comes back that might be a really good shut down line to go against the other teams #1.
Not going to lie, Carks and Finley had me cussing at the tv
