Oilers should also send Alex Plante and Kevin Prendergast, just for good measure.

Horcoff was great. Potter was terrible. Giveaways, getting beat, screening the goalie/poor gap control, -2 on the night. Our worst player. Petrell wasnt very good either.

Re the 1st line, I'd say Vancouver has a pretty solid d core.

After turning the puck over to the goal scorer though. If he had gotten off the ice and avoided a minus, it'd have been one of those cases where he gets lucky and someone else is penalized for his mistake (not that +/- is that important of a stat anyways)

That game was well coached and I hope with RK the team puts in a solid 60 minutes each night. To me that is the biggest problem that has always plagued the Oilers is that they give up when down by the 3rd.

I also found that nobody was garbage, mistakes will happen by some people every game. Nothing you can do about it but try to minimize them.

He looked a lot like Nuge on that play.

Not enough. Will likely have to involve Klefbom.

I was actually surprised at how rusty RNH looked.. He has played a ton this year at the AHL and at the WJC.. I wonder if it was the jump in skill of quality of competition.. Seemed out of place and fumbled the puck more than normal.

Hope he shakes it off.

Well, even though i was working last night and couldnt watch the game, after watching the hilites, i see that i was right about the nucks flopping around like beached whales trying to get the refs to give them the calls as per usual.

The play where Ebs scored, the nux commentator was trying to make it seem like one of the sisters got hauled down, he was looking around for the ref to give the call, but the funny thing was, was that Hall wasnt even remotely close to him, Hall got a couple steps on him and he just flopped to the ice in hopes of getting a call....didnt work though, about f n time the refs pulled their heads from their a**es and didnt give them yet another freebie. Pathetic. And that was only one example, i'm sure there were plenty of other examples too.

That team really has no scruples at all, they make a mockery of the game and yet the nux fans just eat it up year after year and act like thats the way to play the game. Pathetic! Still cant believe the league hasnt done anything to get serious about getting the soccer style diving out of the game for good, it has no place in hockey.

this.

Haha, wow. If you think Horcoff and Smyth complain to the coach about ice time, during the game, in front of the rest of the team, then you don't know these players at all. Horcoff played his role perfectly this game. Krueger used him effectively, and it showed. Case in point, defensive zone face off win in OT, Oilers clear the zone, Horcoff goes straight to the bench so Yak can come on with Hall. That's humility, and leadership. Props to both him and the coach.

The good thing I took out of the game is the Oilers had a lot of quality chances. Horcoff could have had 3 easily. He whiffed on a cross crease pass on the PP. He was in all alone off the Ballard giveaway. He had a point blank chance in the second as well. Schultz had two pretty point blank chances. I hope they trade Luongo. He is better than Schneider at this moment.

Just check out Whitney's twitter. Someone else thought Smyth and horcoff were complaining too and Whitney shut that down

I thought it was a brilliant move by Kreuger to send Eager out with 5 min left to take Kassian out of the rest of the game. It was like a chess move sacrifice a pawn to capture a knight.

A lot of my friends that are Nucks fans didn't see it this way (they also thought he destroyed Eager just because he cut him). But thats exactly what it was. Kassian was their best player last night and he took himself out of the rest of regulation. Brilliant move.

Me and my brother couldn't stop laughing at the Nucks announcers saying Kassian won that. He lands one punch that just happens to cut Eager, and suddenly the rest of the fight is irrelevant
