Strictly an AHL move. Jacques was blocked from playing in the AHL by the vet rule.

His best pro year was his first year, it's unfortunate because he had the skills to be a decent everyday NHLer, but injuries have hurt him.

I remember how excited everyone in Edmonton was for him after his first year in the AHL. Huge physical speciman that could fly like the wind and put up pretty great numbers in his first year in the AHL. But he was a guy who could just not in any way make the jump to the NHL level. Now he looks like he isn't even an offensive contributer in the AHL.

Back surgery really ended any sort of hope for the kid. He's lucky to be able to play in the AHL at this point in his life.
