Maybe you should mention that you lost a bet to me and refuse to live up to your end of the deal...

It was an Avatar bet. CP said PA Parenteau would sign for more than $5M per. I said no way. He signed for $4M and CP lost and now won't respond to my pm's so I thought I'd shame him on the main boards.

I would still pick up a guy like Vandermeer. He could come in handy against Buffalo and Boston.

Boston is solid but if Rask struggles or get hurt it could go bad in a hurry, they are thin in nets.

Are you nuts?

Our back up is a guy who has experience as an NHL starter. Their back up has 5 NHL games experience and has bounced around the minors for most of the last 7 years.

The Habs are lucky they don`t have to play Blues this year, it would be a slaughter even worse than last year. Or Chicago.

Right, but Boston has a good team up front, with Chara, Seguin, Bergeron, Lucic, etc. They are a genuine stanley cup contender. Montreal does not -- The Habs are completely dependent on Price.

Flames trade Karlsson to the Blackhawks for a 7th round pick

Hard to believe they couldn't get a better offer...that team is managed so horribly, Feaster makes Gauthier look like a genius.

Karlsson passed waivers recently. I doubt he had that much value.

Sometimes I wonder if the GMs just have different order from owners to make the playoffs. As fans we think that GMs work in a vacuum, but it's certain they have objectives to meet aka make playoffs. Owners don't want to spend money on teams to lose for rebuilding purposes. Sometimes GMs might have the options to force a playoff birth, regardless if it's 1st or 8th.

True. Boston will be a legitimate cup contender this year for sure and for years to come till....Chara retires. And again, it also depends on Rask. But their force is that they are very good and stable.

They could be a Stanley Cup contender even after Chara retires, Toronto really helped them out.

For example, if Seguin progresses from being a 70 point to being a 100 point forward, entirely possible, that will compensate from the downward shift in Chara -> Hamilton.

Very glad this kid is not a Senator (STL got him by trading Rundblad for the Sens 1st).
