I assumed that. Any possibility it doesn't include Galchenyuk or Pacioretty?
Not a real Ducks fan but I would assume they would be looking for a good C prospect. I could be wrong though as Patches would prob be a nice piece also.
Mtl can just sign him as u UFA this summer that it !! No place trade u less your a contender and mtl is defenetly not a contender so no need to trade for him !! Just hope you can sign him un July that it
Whatever Murray would be asking for would be a heavy price to pay. Teams like Boston, NYR, Vancouver, would be in a better position/more likely to pay that premium.
Montreal, well, even with Perry, it would be a hard slog to the playoffs.
We're better off waiting for him to hit the open Market and open the vault.
On a side note, if ANA decided to trade Perry, they may as well more Getzlaf as well. and seeing them gone (along with Selanne and Koivu retirements very likely) you can bet there would be a heavy demand for top end C prospects) They'd be set in the long run though.

First of all, trade makes no sense for MTL as they are in a re-build. You don't "throw away" talent like Galchenyuk.
As to Perry signing in MTL in July: Yeah right, the guy who is uncomfortable around media in Anaheim is just dying to sign in MTL and deal with the media there
Perry value would be around the same as Hossa or Kovalchuk was ( 1st+garbage ).
Errr...no! The Kovalchuk and Hossa situations are completely different. Both players made it pretty clear they wanted no part of Atlanta and the messy situation they were currently in and were going to continue being in. The Thrashers' hand was forced and they took the best offer available, rather than letting their marquee players walk away for nothing.
Perry has indicated no such thing vis-a-vis the Ducks.
Habs aren't in the position to trade for a rental player. Habs also aren't in the cap position to sign him at a UFA-premium-convince-him-to-come-to-a-non-contender-price. Sooo... Habs aren't getting Perry. My personal guarantee.

Wow..
Anyway, I can't see this happening without 2 things.
Gally on the table and Perry agreeing to an extension with the Habs.
The Ducks have Getzlaf and Koivu. Why do they need a center? I'd assume that, since they want to stay near the floor, they'd want forward and defense prospects for Perry. Young kids who can jump in now.
I see them prioritizing Getzlaf. You don't get those power forward centers through trade. If they give up one, it's Perry.

And draft picks. Expect your first to be taken as well.
Habs are rebuilding and OP would trade assets for a rental....
