You can tell they're really going to miss Eakin in these end of game situations when they need big faceoff wins.

Chicago announcers saying the Wolves just gave Texas this game.

6-4 Stars win.

Good win. Sucks Campbell got burned by so many deflections, would like to see his stats start to improve.

Glad they got the win but did they really have to let them back in the game?

So Oleksiak is now the leading scorer for the blueline, leads the team in assists, and is second in +/-..and just turned 20. So excited for this guy.

Really am trying to keep my expectations and level of excitement down for him, just cause we're Dallas and what can go wrong...usually does. But can't help it. Can't wait to see him up in Dallas.

Aside from obviously being very impressed with Chiasson and Oleksiak last night, Vause stood out to me as well. That set up to Smith as well as his own goal were slick plays, but he played very well overall.

That was a hell of a game to truly end the lockout on. So pumped for this afternoon.

Texas scored 8 goals tonight. Vincour and Chiasson with 3 points each.

Smith, Eakin, and Benn were totally holding them back.

Yeah I just went through and watched all of them. Bachman didn't look sharp on some of those goals against.

One benefit of paying for the season is the ability to Rewind and Fast Forward. Most teams finally started adding time stamps luckily. It's impossible when they don't.

Highlight goals were Austin Smith's and Vincour's first on the breakaway shorthanded. Chiasson was a beast ... again ... 1 goal and 2 assists. Vincour finished with 2 goals and 1 assist.

As someone who doesn't have the time to keep up with the AHL, how long until Oleksiak joins the Dallas Stars?

I was extremely disappointed with Jordie Benn tonight. Almost cost us the game a couple time, and lost a goal single handedly.

Joking aside though, Smith and Eakin might have been holding Chiasson down. 5 points in the last 2 games.

He's probably ready now. It's up to the organization to decide he's gained enough experience.

He still has some rough moments though. In that past few games he's had several horrid turnovers at the offensive blue line. More often than not, he does the right thing with a ton of confidence though.

I think if you give him another month or so he'll be ready. That's how fast he's progressing.

I didn't think that Benn was that terrible tonight outside of that one obvious blunder. Everyone on the back end made their mistakes tonight. I'd like to see him play a few more games before a decision is made on him, but if Rome is able to go tomorrow night they should probably sub him in.

This team is going to go nowhere if they don't trust their young and inexperienced players. They make up too much of our roster for the coaching staff to get down on them after a bad game or two. A major factor in the success of the team will be how well these guys can work through their struggles.

Goodness.

For a #1 in the NHL, he sure is struggling.

Not a good start in Rockford.
