You don't? He would have definitely gotten an instigator and gotten suspended as there was > 5 minutes left.

Come on! "Be patient."? "You're too worried about two games."? "There was no preseason."? "There was no training camp."? Really? Really?!?!?!? The Bruins had no training camp and no preseason. The Penguins had no training camp and no preseason. They made a team chock full of game changers and hard workers look like a team of mites. I call BS on everyone that is coming down on people upset. They should be upset!!!! I'm upset! You should be upset! Especially if you bought a ticket to that turd they laid on the ice last night! It's not that we don't think the boys won't make the playoffs, nobody knows that. We're pissed because they played like complete garbage except for an odd blocked shot or spectacular save that everyone knows was actually a goal. Two games of GARBAGE! GARBAGE! GARBAGE! Then to think all the players were holding out for more money! More money for that piece of crap!?!? They're play wasn't worth the paper their money is printed on! They deserved every boo they got last night and none of the money they made. Unless they don't start performing like they can (not necessarily winning games, just playing hard and well), they're in for the longest, shortened season full of boos that anyone has ever had and they WILL deserve every second of it.

The Pyatt goal. Was it just a delayed line change or was the line really Pyatt-Richards-Gaborik for more than that shift? Haven't got around to watch the game again yet.

Very Good Point. Listen losses happen i totally understand that. However if they lost playing hard for 3 periods i would except it more. The fact that they played slow soft and disinterested is what makes me mad. Im a die hard Ranger fan but i have no problem calling them out when they dont play hard

Not sure... but it was just a blind pass by Del Z that lucked onto his stick. There wasn't much skill there... at least not on the pass.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think Del Zotto purposely put the puck on his stick, but rather just wanted to throw it towards the net and Pyatt was there.

But that's not the point. I was just wondering if Torts juggled the lines already and that was a line for more than a 10 second sequence that happened to result in a goal?

Exactly! It's infuriating to know what these guys were capable of last season and then not see effort. You can't be angry if they played hard but they didn't. At the start of the Boston game, Girardi blocked a shot in the first 30 seconds and I thought to myself (right where they left off!!) and then that was it. The best and smartest play of both games was DelZotto holding back on the retaliation that put Cooke in the box. THAT'S IT. I will admit that Hank made some really good saves as always but he's only one guy. The team stunk BOTH NIGHTS. They don't deserve to get paid for that crap. I'm glad I didn't buy a ticket.

Hey i agree with you pal. Im a diehard fan so me being angry means i care for the team and want them to play to their potential. This team has it all they have a top goalie top defense and now have offensive weapons. All they need to do is execute and play hard like they did last year. I have no idea why they didnt do that the first 2 games but hopefully it starts in game 3

Torts needs to do something to wake them up. If someone can be sent down, send em down. If someone's contract allows them to be set out, set them out. DO SOMETHING besides crap on the ice because right now, they're getting paid millions to use the ice as a toilet.

A suspension for standing up for the number 1 prospect and rookie of the club would be well worth it if it was handed down.

I agree. I am sick and tired of the Rangers standing around with their thumbs in their rears when a teammate gets rocked. Clean or not there comes a time when you have to stand up for yourselves to make a statement.

They never would have responded the way the Sens did to Karlsson getting roughed up in game one last year. A response which (IMO) got the Sens back in that series.

I can only hope McIlrath puts it together to be an asset at the NHL level. That is if the coaching staff/team/officials/Shanahan doesn't neuter him in the process.

That goes all the way back to Dale Rolfe vs Schultz

Ask Tomas Kopecky about that.

Not if he simply challenges him and goes. If he jumps him, then probably.

And if Boyle was in fact suspended for jumping Orpk, it accomplishes two things:

1 - It gains some respect for the team
2 - It improves our lineup for the next game

Win/Win as they say.

Clean hit or not, it's becoming apparent that opposing teams are completely comfortable taking liberties with our players. Sauer's career is probably over because of this. Orpik is also a repeat offender in this regard. His hit on stepan last year was dirty. With Crosby's history, I'm surprised the Pens are willing to risk retaliation.

He's shown a little bit of chemistry with Richards, but they've also been completely out of touch several times.
Yeah, and he is undoubtedly pushing back the D and opening up alot of ice for Richards that way. Like we for example saw on our goal against Boston.

I don't know, I definitely think that Nash is better than most big stars in this league at using his linemates. I am watching Stamkos play right now, and with him you get one attack and a helluva shot on net and then you have to go on defense again (kind of). Gabby is kind of like that too.

The tic tac passing is another story. Natrually BR and Nash needs to develop more chemistry, of course, but I see no problem there. I've seen Nash on some scary top lines for Canada in international tournaments. I think the only thing that could hold this line back is Richards legs...

Good god, cannot wait til this team is winning so people like you stay away from the board for awhile. All you do is come here when the Rangers lose and blame Boyle for everything. Hank lets in a bad goal? Boyle's fault, he was breathing the wrong way. Bad defensive play by Bickel? Boyle was sitting on the bench wrong and distracted Bickel. Jeez, enough with this crap.

Look, I don't know. Maybe the problem is that we are so extremely unusual to see any kind of hits from D's that we are suprised to actually see a D hit a player? Maybe Staal, McD or Girardi should actually hit a player themselves???

We have lost two players in what two years (Sauer and Staal) that I can think of. I don't think its much to complain of. I wouldn't have minded if we saw some kind of reaction on Orpik, for sure. Especially for his extremely dirty hit on Stepan. But I definitely wouldn't guess that we are targets of big hits more than other team. I would guess that we are definitely below avg on that scale.

Plus, undoubtedly it was a extreme rookie play by Kreider. He skates up ice against two D's looking down on the puck and actually intends to pull of some kind of dipsy dodly play without an idea what's going on infront of him. Most kids makes misstakes like that a couple of times, may you be Taylor Hall or Chris Kreider, but its not like it was a dirty hit by Orpik. He stood up on a rookie that was tired and desperate. And while you can argue how suitable it was, Torts kind of had a point in the presser. So far I've heard a ton of the following on Kreider:
1. He is better in the NHL than the AHL.
2. He would score if he played with a great center.

I mean, that's not how it works. Who the heck is this kid? If you want to play on a second line in the NHL, you know what, play well on a 3rd line first. The kid is kind of caught up in trying to pin down his position and so forth, that is a "legit excuse" early in a season on a team with coaches that puts that first. But, we could definitely see more grind from Kreider too. And its about time he starts showing it now. It should show that he has played all year and is in mid-season form while the rest are still getting warm.

The reality of CK is he is still very raw : he has many physical gifts and a flare for the big game performance but on a nightly basis he has a long way to go before he becomes a good pro . I am as guilty as anyone for wanting to have a superstar overnight but reality of half a season of AHL and last two games tells us he's not an NHL ready performer . Another reality is beyond some career minor leaguers NYR DON'T have any other options .

Rangers made a habit of rattling off 5 straight wins after a couple of losses in a row last season. I expect a strong outing on Wednesday. Especially from Hank.

Orpik isn't who you go after next game . Crosby and Letang are . Then after you hit them clean and hard you tell Brooks to his face its on him . He'll get the message . Just like the Original six days you'll see the other time a lot in a short time span and will have your chances . They say Gordie Howe would wait games to get to his revenge not shifts .

I thought moderaters weren't supposed to make personal attacks on posters. Guess the rules only apply to regular posters?

In any event. I think there is plenty to debate and or discuss regarding Boyle's lack of action here.
