Blues have a solid team and great coaching...the way Torts changes lines, Vladimir Tarasenko during his first few games, he would be on a line with Boyle and Rupp

They're great. Best offensive depth in the league, IMO. No "superstars" (Tarasenko looks to be destined for that though,) but a great top 9.
They want a top D to play with Pietrangelo, but they're very solid.
If the news that McIlrath isn't as good as Bickel right now is true than any good will I had built for Big Mac is gone.
i dont see how McIlrath couldnt be worse than Bickel right now.. calling him up for a game or two wont hurt...it worked for Hagelin when he was called up..

Hagelin was 23 last year, having completed 4 years of College and a few months in the A.
MCL is 20. I don't want to rush him, and ruin him. I'd rather he plays 1st pairing minutes in the A and learns how to defend.
But you are right. Nothing is worse than Stu Bickel.

That's the thing, though. I'd have no problem with him honing his D game in the AHL if he was playing like McD was before he got called up...but if he's not as good as Bickel right now I don't see him ever being good enough to be more than a 3rd pairing guy.
seeing as we keep harping on about tarasenko as we passed on, why don't people keep bleating on about Giroux? We passed on him for Sangs, where's the leftover outrage for that?
Maybe the Mods need to sticky a 'players passed over by the Rangers' thread so that we keep tabs on everyone

If management wouldn't keep doing it, we wouldn't have to keeping harping on it.
It probably has to do with Giroux being drafted in 2006, and Tarasenko much more recently in 2010. So while we have come to terms with Giroux emerging as one of the top talents in the league, this is the first time we are seeing Tarasenko.

It's because Giroux was an unknown. Everybody knew Tarasenko had this kind of talent. He only fell because of the Russian factor, which is something that should not deter a franchise like the Rangers.
