Welcome to the final raw before the royal rumble. Also known as squash night.

Ryback made for Royal Rumble? Doubit, considering his stamina blows.

IIRC, 27th is the number that's had the most wins, with 3 or 4 guys winning from that position

Rock is clearly going to buy Paul Blart's ticket and go sit in the stands as a fan.

Yeah you might be right. I just know it's somewhere around there.

Punk starting the promo off right by talking up the title. Finally. Hoodie look is what they should have given him for this whole title run. Suits the character perfectly.

If you're so great why don't you get your own belt design.

Not his best work. Not even close actually. The message was right though, finally. It's about time they make a big deal of the WWE title

Awards:
Punk's promo was all it needed to be. Serious, dramatic and all business. Thank God they aren't billing Punk as a coward heel this time around.

San Jose. A strong smark crowd is fighting it's way through the din.

I think they realized that for the match vs the Rock to work, and be believable, Punk had to be booked really strong. Maniacal in some ways. Otherwise nobody would ever expect Punk to win. Even still, they need to do more IMO. I still think that Punk needs to cut a promo to close the show tonight to reiterate that the Rock isn't a wrestler, but rather an entertainer, and that the game has changed since Rock was last a big player in the ring. They need to do more to add an extra ounce or two of doubt...cuz right now I don't think anyone expects Punk to be able to leave champion.
