So far Neuf has been one of our few good players.

Fraser lol, I was wondering who #45 was and why he's been caught out of position a few times

Get it? Fact is that the shootout gives us easily trackable statistics for how players do all alone against goalies. Pominville scores on a bit more than 1/3 of his shootout attempts.
I like Pominville's chances more in that situation than in a shootout. He just got the pass from Vanek, which mean that Scrivens couldn't be fully set and was moving across, much easier five hole shot. 9/10 is hyperbole, but I really think this is a situation where there was a high likelihood of a goal.

Yep Kostka is overplayed terribly.

Good story but he's a lot better suited for the bottom pairing,

This has been one of the most boring home opener's in recent history. Just dreadfully dull

Being on a breakaway and taking a shootout are two different things

Go Scurvy! At least let Lupul score 1 so I can get my 2-1 Sabres - Lupul for Leafs prediction right lol

I don't see Scrivens getting the start next game - looks shaky on plenty of plays.

Kostka with another bad play there, but then he got back and his stickcheck probably prevented another goal as the puck was sitting in front of the open net for a second.
