Same. No doubt in my mind that he'd produce more with more time.

He got interfered with on the second goal. The interference call against him was extremely weak and even then was a result of a near-suicide pass. I thought Gunnar was fine.

I missed Komisarek, thought he had a decent game in Montreal. Was not impressed with Holzer tonight, which surprised me.

Makes me sick that the Columbus home opener is louder than our building

I will say this... if we play like that every night we're going to win a lot more games. We played very well. We really only made a few glaring errors and unfortunately one cost us (despite the fact there probably should have been a penalty on the play). I'm disappointed we lost, but I'm encouraged by the new commitment to defence, and hopefully we'll find our scoring touch soon.

He was 7/13 tonight, that's over 50%.

Phaneuf - Gardiner
Liles - Kostka
Franson/Komi - Gunnar

This should be our line up once Gardiner is back.

Positives:
-Kadri scores again with a clutch goal
-Bozak bounces back in the faceoff circle
-1st line looking unreal, 3rd line looking like a 2nd line
-Team defence looking really good
-Phaneuf and Kostka looking really good together
-Fouth line did a great job

Negatives:
-Grabo and Kuli looking lost in the offensive zone
-Gunnarson just had a terrible night with a few bad decisions

Bad Luck:
-Miller stood on his head
-PP looked good, just couldnt capitalize

ACC was pretty loud at the end when they had a reason to be.

Miller always does this, so annoying. Always saves Buffalo's ass. Kessel missed about 9001 opportunities. Kadri is GOAT, that is all.

JVR looks like a bigger Ashton. I seriously don't think that comparison is off base.

The Good: the defence, winning faceoffs, effective PK, Kadri, Orr, and most of all the coaching.

The Bad: PP, Kulemin, JVR.

The Ugly: Kessel.

1) Most of the fans there are Red Wings faithful
2) The game in Columbus is actually exciting - ours was dull for 57 minutes.

I say we missed Franson on the PP. Fraser is going to be sent back....soon. Or Steckle waived or traded.

I agree. Don't think it's a good idea for Reimer to play his first game against the Penguins on the road.

All his hype? Before the beginning of the AHL season, most thought that he'd be a bubble player, a possibility to make it as a 4th liner (whenever it started).

We're 2 games in, have allowed 3 goals, and are 1-1, and people are talking like the sky is falling. Scrivens is bad, Komarov looks bad.... etc. The Leafs outplayed the Sabres, whom have the better roster on paper, the only thing that stood in their way from a Win was a true franchise goalie.

I know! I can't ****ing stand the ACC crowd. They were dead the entire game. Absolutely dead until Kadri scored the goal.
