Tickets are pretty inexpensive yes.

Helps when you start the game with 4 straight PP's and a +2min 5 on 3.

So refs were not only generous in Montreal?

2 good games in a row from Theo. Sucks we don't play him tomorrow though as he always suck here. But that's probably why he isn't playing....

Really hoping the Panthers bust the shutout.
But doubt it now.
Jim Obrien makes it 3-0 sens.

Its crazy to me that they even have fans.. lol
I lived in Columbus.
They get good attendance if there are a lot of fans for the visiting team, i.e. Montreal, Detroit, Chicago ...
I went to the Montreal games, bursting at the seams with Habs fans.

To be fair the whole league looks strong if you compare them to the Habs in their first game.

The Benoit Pouliot trade was an attempt at just that, it failed, but it was an intelligent risk.

thought buffalo ottawa toronto and montreal were a toss up with boston ahead.
doesn't appear it will be the case in such a short season.
boston/ottawa
buffalo
montreal/toronto
and I can see 3 teams from the NE making it, if not at leat fighting for the last spot and barely missing.

I'm still not convinced Buffalo will be good this year, but they have some pieces and Ruff tends to get the most out of what he has.
My gut feeling is Boston and Ottawa are the only two who are still playoff quality, Buffalo could be 8th place contenders though.

That shootout goal shouldn't be a goal. Come on...first shot had already touched his pad.
Wow...what a great shootout move by Brunner to win it!!!!

11 PPs and one goal out of it. That's some 2011 Canadiens futility right there.
I'm just happy they didn't start the season with a win streak like last years so their fans can't pretend they're actually a good team.

only caught bits and pieces, but their pp looked pretty decent against the habs. were they creating chances? and miller was just being miller all night?

Wow, what a move.
Still, props to Columbus for playing so well. Their blueline is actually pretty good and I think Bobrovsky has promise.
