I started watching around 1983, when I was about 14. I disliked the faces, because you were supposed to root for them. I have seen each of these guys at live events, and remember those experiences as some of the best times I ever had. Heel lover for life!
I love when people go around saying "-insert heel name- sucks!! They have no talent.. They're a terrible wrestler! Ryback could eat them in one bite!".. or something like that. I mean really, they're a heel.. they're trying to make you dislike them and obviously they've done a good job!!
I know for me, if a heel can get me to the point where I dislike seeing/hearing them.. im a fan.

I started watching probably in the early 90's, first PPV I remember seeing was the Summerslam where Davey Boy Smith teamed with Ricky Steamboat and someone else in a 3 vs 3. First card I went to was in Ottawa, Ric Flair vs Randy Savage was the main event.
Here's my top 10 in no particular order..

Mr.Perfect
William Regal
Raven
Chris Jericho
CM Punk
Shawn Michaels
Owen Hart
Bret Hart
Chris Benoit
Rick Rude

same here. i always prefered heels. but i dont like to hate on the good guy, either... i guess if youre good youre good.
but the best promos come from them in my opinion. and its easy to get booed but to draw heat like Piper, Flair did was so cool to see. and i was a kid.
good list.

In no particular order:

1) Bret Hart
2) Chris Benoit
3) Raven
4) Christopher Daniels
5) Nigel McGuinness
6) Owen Hart
7) Rhyno
8) Bryan Danielson
9) Kane
10) Chris Jericho

HM: CM Punk, RVD, Samoa Joe, Edge, SCSA, James Gibson (Jamie Noble), Mickie James, Bubba Ray Dudley, Jerry Lynn, Kurt Angle

Hardcore Holly & AJ Styles used to be in my list but both of them turned out to be utter ********** in real life. Plus it is hard for people to take you seriously when sparkplug bob holly is in your top 10.
What word with ten asterisks could possibly describe AJ Styles? Guy is a nice guy.

1. AJ Styles
2. Austin Aries
3. Chris Jericho
4. Bully Ray (Met him at BFG 09' and he was the nicest guy there)
5. Christopher Daniels
6. Joseph Parks/Abyss
7. Kurt Angle
8. Daniel Bryan
9. Christian
10. Shawn Michaels

Both times I met him he was rude. If it was a 1 time thing I'd accept it being a bad day but both times wasn't cool.

Started watching right around 96-97. I Remember going to KOTR in 97 where Taker faced Farooq, and HHH won KOTR (I think). I was 8. Huge WWF/E fan but did like WCW a lot as well right up until the attitude era, then I didn't watch it as much. Stopped watching around 2001 and didn't really start again full time until the Punk promo. I would still check in sporadically but he made me want to watch again.

Top 10
1. Jericho
2. CM Punk
3. Austin
4. Rock
5. Bret Hart
6. Owen Hart
7. HBK
8. Taker
9. Billy Kidman
10. Foley

Tough to leave Edge and Christian out. This list could change daily though. Jericho became my favorite during his cruiserweight days in WCW. Also, for some reason I really liked Kidman and the whole stable he was in with Raven. Raven is another guy who could also be in my top 10.

AJ has worked ten years in the upper mid-card of the same promotion for ten years, Kid Kash is the only guy to ever say anything bad about him.

I met him myself at BFG 09' and he was a really nice guy.

Early 80's, and I will admit, was a Hogan fan back then.

Hogan
Junkyard Dog
Mr Perfect
Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Honky Tonk Man
Andre the Giant
Demolition
Big John Studd
Roddy Piper
Superfly Jimmy Snuka
Ravishing Rick Rude
Big Boss Man
Earthquake
Million Dollar Man

There's more, but I'm over 10 now.

I started watching in the early 90's.

My earliest recollection was when Shawn Michaels turned on Marty Jannetty in the barbershop.

I stopped Mid 2000's. My latest recollection for 100% certainty was the end of Evolution / the Rise of John Cena. Could not STAND him or anything around him. When he started to become huge, I slowly stopped watching.

My top 10, in no order (I tried, was too difficult).

- Bret Hart
- Shawn Michaels
- Chris Jericho
- The Rock
- The Undertaker
- Randy Orton
- Ric Flair (I know, I missed his prime)
- Kurt Angle
- Steve Austin
- Ultimate Warrior

HM: Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, D-X, Mick Foley (all persona's other than Dude Love).

7. Diamond Dallas Page
8. Kurt Angle
9. CM Punk
10. Chris Benoit

This will probably be a longer story as the wrestlers I have come to love transcend about 20 years due to my friends. I started watching regularly about 4 or 5 years ago. I always had an interest in wrestling but growing up I was not allowed to watch it. Whenever I could, I'd watch however probably as far back as 10 years ago.

I didn't get big into wrestling however until I met some of my friends from highschool and started playing No Mercy and I started really becoming hooked by it. My two friends and I have basically covered watching wrestling since about 1992. My one friend had older brothers who watched it and from 3 years old (he once as a 5 year old double axe handled his grandmother from the staircase bannister) watched until the late 90s before stopping. A couple weeks ago we re-watched the 92 Royal Rumble. My other started watching when the Rock and Austin really started to come to prominence and watched until around 2006 or so, and I basically covered most of the WWE after that. So our wrestling conversations usually are interesting to say the least. Sorry for the tl;dr version of that.

My top 10 would probably go something like:

1. Kane
2. William Regal (also love the Real Man's Man gimmick as well. That should have worked imo)
3. Scott Hall
4. Bret Hart
5. Davey Boy Smith
6. Vader
7. Jake Roberts
8. Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta)
9. The Big Boss Man (can't believe I'm the 3rd one in this thread to say Big Boss Man)
10. Edge

And I feel I left some other favourites off like the Road Dogg, Sting, Owen Hart, Christian, Chris Jericho, Mr. Perfect, Goldust and even Jim Neidhart. My friends and I probably enjoy Shane McMahon far more than we should as well. We always end up creating him in every wrestling game we've played using the blue shirt attire from No Mercy.

cant believe he has been mentionned 3 times. i think he was terrible in the ring and mike. specially in the attitude era. (his wrestling style was better pre-attitude)
my two biggest memories are stealing big shows dad's dead body and getting hung on the hell in a cell by taker. lol.

When I think of Boss Man, I think of early 90's Boss Man more than attitude. Loved the Boss Man Slam for whatever reason. My best friend always loved him as a kid and it rubbed off on me.

I put him my list....it was for his days in the late 80's when he was agile as hell. The way he would slide out of the ring and slap a guy draped over the ropes....plus taking a suplex off a steel cage from Hogan....as a kid that was a huge mark out moment.
