Looks like Voracek will be playing on the 2nd line with Couturier and I believe Simmonds

Basically, I am choosing who to drop between wheeler, voracek and Mike Richards. The league is points only (2 pts goal, 1 assist), no PIMs or anything else. Reason being, I want to snag Erik Cole of waivers (auto draft).

Leaning towards dropping richards (if only cause his PIMs are useless).

Oh and if anyone is curious, in a 13 team league (7F, 3D and 1G), I have (I had 7th pick):

- Spezza
- Hossa
- RNH
- M Richards
- Wheeler
- Voracek
- Lecavalier
- Karlsson
- J Schultz
- OEL
- C Schneider

Bench:

- Weiss and Hornqvist

Any help on Varacek would be greatly appreciated.
spezza 7th overall ? i think you could have done better and keep richards for now who knows when kopitar is going to be back and i would play weiss over lecavalier

Hey, spezza wasn't 7th, just listed in random order. Spezza was 20 or 21st, Karlsson was 7th (I am a sens fan who joined the league for a friend - not a huge fantasy guy - cause someone dropped out last minute).

And agreed about lecavalier, my only picks were (in order): Karlsson, Spezza, RNH, Schneider, Hossa. Everything else was auto draft, and vinny is already on the block!

Anyways, I dropped Hornqvist (even though I love him) for Cole in the end. Voracek is gonna stick it seems.

Guys I'm in a super deep fantasy keeper league that gives 0.25 points per PIM. In my league guys like Lucic, Backes, Hartnell are gods.

Who is Zac Rinaldo and does hit fit into a potential match as a young player?

Draft is tonight any advice would be appreciated!

Didnt see a thread for Brayden and didnt think it deserved its own. But assuming he spends most of his time alongside G an stays healthy, what are your stat line expectations of Brayden Schenn in 48 games this season?

I think 35 would be a good number for him.

Yeah, Karlsson 7th is certainly an intriguing choice. At that point usually you're best served grabbing the best goalie available.

I always pick goalies first. The same way I pick quarterbacks first in fantasy football.

question about Brayden Schenn

Greetings Flyers fans, I'm just curious as to what you expect out of Schenn, whom I drafted to be on my fantasy team. ESPN is projecting Schenn and Couturier on the second line. My question is, which of those two are going to get more time at center, and which of those two are going to get more faceoffs?

Hartnell - Giroux - Schenn
Talbot - Couturier - Voracek
Simmonds - Briere (Laughton) - Read

Schenn is Giroux's RW.

The current line is Hartnell-Giroux-Schenn.

I expect few face offs. On the 1st line as a winger. Should get a lot of points.

This is from earlier in the week, it may or may not help.

When the Flyers' season starts Saturday afternoon against visiting Pittsburgh, it appears that Brayden Schenn will get the first crack at being their first-line right winger.

"I want to go in there and win that spot and hopefully stay there," Schenn said after Monday's practice in Voorhees.

During the first two days of training camp, Schenn was mostly on a line with star center Claude Giroux (28 goals, 93 points last season) and left winger Scott Hartnell (37 goals).

"It's an opportunity to play with one of the top players in the league, and Hartnell is coming off a great year" said Schenn, 21. "For me, I'm just trying to blend in and find chemistry as quick as possible and hopefully step up and fill that role."

Jakub Voracek, who spent some time on the first unit last season, has been playing mostly on a line with Sean Couturier and Max Talbot in camp.

Schenn, primarily a center during his young career, played at right wing toward the end of his productive AHL stint with Adirondack this season.

"I think it's a good thing to be a versatile player and play all over the place," Schenn said.

"He played some right wing with the Phantoms, and you can tell he has a lot of confidence right now," Hartnell said. "He's played some games, so that'll help G and I, and hopefully we can jell quick."

There is a top-line opening because Jaromir Jagr signed with Dallas in the offseason after scoring 19 goals for the Flyers last season.

Anybody know if Bryzgalov starts tomorrow? Gotta decide who to sit between him, Niemi, and Luongo. Thanks!

Contemplating dropping Briere for Tarasenko (rookie winger on the blues, lighting it up so far).

Reasons to do it: Briere is coming off an injury
Reasons not to do it: Briere is a center and will get me faceoff points
There's no way of knowing if Tarasenko can keep up this pace because he has no track record.

Hey guys. Real new to fantasy hockey so I am unsure of the value here. League is real basic, non-keeper and no cap. I have two "superstars" In kovalchuk and Gaborik but I was offered Alfredsson, Kovalev, and Nathan Horton. Obiously Kovalchuk and Gaborik are incredible players but it is tough to judge how Kovalev will be. Any opinions would be helpful. I am leaning towards no since both Gaborik and Kovalchuk have the ability to rack some major points.
