Uh oh, if Eklund says 6 years 4 per he's probably traded.
This can't be true. That would be stupid of Subban to not take a 2 year deal. I see Subban as a possible top10 D in the NHL in his prime, so 4 a year for years 27-30 would be great for the Habs.

This is not true.

The players Meehan was talking about when he talked about Subban were getting in the $6 million per year range. Meehan won't back down but it is Subban's call to make on what he signs for.

How does saying Buffalo has a rich owner "imply" Montreal does not?

The internet! Where anything can imply anything!

EDIT: I was actually implying the had a tight spending owner before so the new owner doesn´t mind throwing his money around but hey what ever you want my post to mean..... that's how world war II was started!

if thats the case it would be a steal
Heck why not go for 8 years if he is willing

I truely don't believe it, This would have been settled if this was the asking price

PK Subban to BOS

Patrice Bergeron
Brad Marchand
Dougie Hamilton

PK Subban
Lars Eller
MTL 2nd 2013

So Bruins give up 2LW, 2C and good prospect Stay-at-Home D-man to acquire a potential franchise D-man (with the mean attitude Bruins love), a good 3C (to allow Seguin to move up) and a 2nd in what looks like a deep draft, that could be a high 2nd.

I can't remember if Bergeron or Marchand have said one way or the other how they'd feel about playing for the Habs (it's not for everyone, especially francophones), but this is a huge boost to the grittiness and speed that the Habs are looking for in their top 6.

The loss of PK would be hard, but the Habs have their PMD back in Markov, and have options in the system, not to mention a deep draft upcoming. The Habs will be in a position where they can move Plekanec at the deadline to get their 2nd back, with interest (as he'll be expendable with Galchenyuk ready to grow into the 1C role and a high-end C prospect available in the draft).

Boston certainly looks like the winner at the on-set, because the tandem of Chara and PK would be terrifying, but the loss of Marchand and Bergeron would not go unnoticed.

This trade speaks to areas of strength for both teams though.

What does everyone else think?

It must be very cold out there and I guess you needed another heat source for the house?

You are going to get flamed hard....from both sides!

There are only a handful of centers I'd take Patrice Bergeron over. He's not a "2 C". He's a Selke winning defensively responsible center. Better than Montreal's #1 center, that's for sure. I appreciate PK's skill, but he's not as much of an asset as what Patrice is.

Marchand is a wash with Eller if not better.

Dougie or a 2nd? Please.....

Bruins hang up immediately.

First off, terrible proposal, no way Boston even considers it. Also, after reading the first sentence of your reasoning I now know how little you know of dougie Hamilton, he is not even close to a stat at home defenseman.
