Kopitar is slated to play tonight in Denver. Thought he was going to be out a little while, guess not. In other player news, Suter returns to Nashville tonight. I'd imagine he'll get some cheers and boos.

Should be some other decent games as well other than those two. Always interested in seeing Tampa play, they're @ Carolina. Shark/Oilers could be a fun game too.

Flyers/Devils should be a good one too.

The Hamilton Bulldogs just let Ron Wilson go.

Yeesh. I think Tom Petty wrote a song about his career over the past year.

This is the first time he will play against Nashville, however, the game is in Minnesota.

Gillis is alluding to the fact that they have a Luongo deal lined up with a surprise team. It better not be the Hawks!

Devils wasted no time in going up on the Flyers.

Yeah, a hair over a minute in and Zajac earns some of that money.

So the Wings already have like 8 or 9 guys hurt. Need to destroy them on Sunday.

Realistic shot of starting the season 6-0... I don't expect it, but it's very possible. I think we can run Dallas out of the building with our speed, obviously Columbus is a game you expect to win, and we should kill Detroit right now.

Columbus is a better team without Nash. Don't get me wrong, I believe we're a better team, but it's not going to be a cakewalk like last year.

6-0 would equate to 10-0 in an 82 game season. Coming into the season, I was really hoping we would get off to a great start, 8-2 or 7-3. Both look doable right now.

I agree.

That Nash trade looked bad PR-wise, trading a star for role players.

But in terms of hockey alone, I think they came out of it as a stronger team.

Dallas' defense is pretty terrible. Just have to try and not give them space. You don't want guys like Whitney, Jagr, Ryder, and Eriksson to have space.

I don't disagree, but with that said, we should still beat them rather easily most nights.

Agreed, they needed to spread things out a bit and are definitely a better team now. Getting Bob was a very solid move too. I'm not the biggest fan but the talent is certainly there and that is another guy that would have been a good move for us. A Crawford/Bob tandem would be pretty strong for a cheap price.

Do we need a dedicated thread about general blackhawks talk? This team could really use a 3rd line shut down center but don't think it deserves its own thread.

Loving what I am seeing from Kruger right now, but he still is severely lacking in the offensive department.

Kruger is playing on the 4th line right? He's playing really well right now but I'd still like to add a grittier 3rd line guy.
