Fair enough.

It's a matter of taste so I can hardly tell you you're wrong. You're certainly right that Michaels is no Phillips though.

First time I've heard that and I agree. It's one thing to get excited before a goal when a player is doing other things like moving through the defense but to do it on a shootout attempt seems pretty silly.

I am not a big Micheals fan but I liked it. It was good to hear some real enthusiasm instead of his normal schtick of just speaking louder while describing the play in detail. It was our first game of the year and we did come back from 2-0. I don't think it was silly.

Or just pick him up when the other team has an empty net.

Anybody think that Tarasenko might be better than both Hall/Seguin? It's not totally just a knee-jerk reaction either. He has shown great signs long before coming to the NHL.

I still think Hall fits our needs better, but it wouldn't suprise me if Tarasenko ends up being the best player from that draft.

lmao at the Flames Centre depth. Their first line centre (some random 27 year old rookie named Cervanka from the Czech republic) is injured. Their other 3 centres are Backlund, Stajan and Blair Jones. Wow.

I found the summation of the Flames center depth in one image.

When most Flames fans rant about how bad Edmonton's d and goaltending is, I love it when they get hammered.

Maybe they should worry about their own instead of slamming ours continually.

I don't think they are up to anything. They have Irving as their backup now and the two guys they have in Abbotsford have amazing numbers.
Brust 16GP 1.44gaa .948SPct
Taylor 21gp 1.68gaa .932Spct
Irving 6GP 3.72gaa .871spct

I can see why the talk was they might sign one of the guys from the AHL if both Irving and Karlsson were picked up on waivers.

Well, the Kings are already one step back.
I heard only 6 weeks. I do find that Greene is overrated though. I really like the guy, but he's a #5 d-man who was playing 4 minutes less at ES than rookie Voynov last playoffs and 6-7 minutes less than the other 3 guys.

Where they will miss him is PK.

Tough to say, Tarasenko would've been picked a lot higher if he wasn't Russian. Kid definetly is going to be a good pick for STL that's for sure.

I am loving it that the Flames have lost their first two, without getting any loser points. And both home games to boot. Obviously it's only 2 games, but every game is critical in a 48 game season.

Way too early to tell. He's had a great start, but let's see where he's at half way through the season.

At some point, I'm gonna have to start cheering for some Calgary wins... don't want them close to a top 5 pick. Watching the Flames, they don't have much talent on that roster at all. Without Kipper standing on his head, that team is in deep trouble. And yah.. J.Bo sucks.

They'll start to pick it up in a month or so when Kipper and Iggy heat back up.

At least I hope. I too fear them getting Mackinnon or Jones.

Atleast feaster would trade that pick to move back in the draft and get the next prodigy in high school hockey

Their assistant GM, Weisbrod, reminds me a lot of a combination of Lowe and Prendergast - thinking he's smarter than everyone else.
