Not sure he knows how to be a policeman like Domi. Someone should tell him. I don't think Domi had any more hockey ability than Orr but he knew how to keep the peace.
Domi could jump anyone without risking hurting them badly. If Colton Orr jumps someone, they are dead.
And this was a close game - you cant afford 2 minute instigator or 5 major for beating on someone. But guys like Orr and Brown don't forget these antics. We will play Buffalo many times. The minute a game is pretty much over, Kaleta will get his.
Yup...and Orr is not even a top 10 NHL fighter lol look at his fight log he has been smoked by Parros, MacIntyre twice, Shelley, Engelland, Rupp and a few others he's one punch away from calling it a career.
Orr isn't top 10? What are you smoking. All of the best fighters in the league have been beat. That's the nature of the business. Brashear was one of the best and got knocked out by Belak. Does that make him a ****** fighter?

Time for you to get some sleep bro.
Orr was pumped so bad by Parros his career was all but over was right out of the NHL last season cleared waivers nobody wanted Orr but our desperate Leafs have brought him back if Orr was a top 10 NHL fighter he would not have cleared waivers lol. And just because a player has a wllingness to fight doesn't make him a top NHL fighter.
So because someone clears waivers it means their NHL career is over and nobody wants them? Great logic there, maybe it is you who needs some sleep.
Just ignore them. They are whining because they were wrong. The only thing that remains true is that Orr does not belong up for every game. Frattin and others deserve a shot.
Watching that fight was like watching the movie 300. Scott looks like some giant from the old world. Orr is not a small man but looked like a shrimpkin next to Scott. When the monster fell down to one knee and Orr started pounding it was amazing.
Having said that, I think Steckel goes in for Orr against the Pens, he is more of a intimation factor against Crosby.
Orr was a factor last night, nice to see someone stand up for us and not make us look like pu$$ies like we often looked last year.
But besides the fight, I thought he and the 4th line had a good game. Kaleta and Scott were worse, certainly Kaleta was taking dumb penalties and turning down Brown.
I also thought Kessel looked braver crashing into Miller knowing Orr was on the bench, in the long run our skille players like Kadri and Kessel will play bigger due to having Orr in the lineup.
Best part Mcclement, Orr and Brown could play a shift and not hurt us. Nice 4th line that will be a good line for us moving fwd. Carlyle has already stated there will be an energy line as long as he is coach. No going back to Ronnie smurf hockey now.
Comedic those of you saying Orr is not a top 10 tough guy; remove your depressed-woe is me-leaf goggles. No, we do not have a true #1C or a real starting goaltender, but we do have some good aspects to our squad.
What Orr did was not a sucker punch - it was a body shot after they had already been fighting.

Sledge hammer drops the giant made my whole game didn't even care if we lost after that. Gave the leafs identity and character, everyone was amazed and happy for Orr so hats off he did us proud and didn't play a bad game either
My god the amount of crap in this thread, firstly if you are in the NHL and you bump the other teams goalie, 9.9/10 times the other team goes after you. Especially with the over sensitive Sabre's and Miller. What would you look to Orr have done? Jumped off the bench, and pummel Kaleta and get himself suspended for 10 games and his coach fined and give the other team a major penalty in a close game were we are controlling the play? If he did that you Nancies would have been crying for him to get benched. Brown was roughing up Kaleta trying to get him to go, but Kaleta wasn't so eager to go then. On the bench Orr was giving it to Pominville and Kaleta and none of them would even look at him. I'm sure if the game got out of hand on the scoreboard we would have seen Orr dummying Kaleta or paying a visit to Miller. Orr's skating has improved, he looks like a decent fourth liner that can scrap with the best of them. The fourth line played really good last night, whats there to complain about? Also to the poster suggesting to give Orrs spot to Frattin, they have different roles on the team. Frattin is not a forth line player, hes been stinking it up for the Marlies and stunk it up at training camp. He lost his spot because of his own play, not Orrs.
Not hard to tell who wears the dress in this thread lol..
Scott was quiet last night haaa. MacArthur should have beat the head off Kaleta for the kessel rough up. There has to be nasty from all the team not just the obvious scrappers.
