Amazing that Lukko has kept getting points in all matches after the danish trio left. Seems that the team have a real positive take on the season - a bonus nobody expected when the season started so badly. A win tonight and a playoff spot actually gets closer and closer........
Jokerit seems on the other hand to suffer a bit from the "Karlsson left syndrome".
Any oppinions about Lukko's chances for getting a playoff?

With this pace its expectable. The defence system works extremely well, letting others keep control of the puck and scoring from counterattacks and PP. Despite the two TPS games Vehanen has been extremely solid, he and hard working team has managed to keep goals scored against them in 1 or 2. And they have done this without 3 of their top wingers - 2 of them are expected to return soonish. Also Azevedo and Nurmi are currently in flames. But somewhere during the time the danish trio was here (or left) the group of players has evolved into The Team and plays like it. Not the pretties hockey, but definitely effective.
Due to living in Espoo I've been following Blues quite closely this season (my wife has a season ticket) and they are doing very well lately, but don't let that fool you. They are having a stretch where games are mostly at home against bottom-4 teams - which you are really supposed to win those ones anyway. This upcoming Lukko-game on road will tell a lot more about the current situation.

Yep Lukko wins a tight game again and is currently 5'th in the league and that's from being last at the beginning of the season. Quite remarkable
They have a tendency to get a lot of goals against them in the last minutes as against TPS, but tonight they held 3-2.
Apparently Ruutu had a bad hit on Artturi Lehkonen ??
Yes, it was 1-2 seconds late and to me it looked like his shoulder hit Lehkonen's head (but that can be argued either way). Either way, Lehkonen fell and smacked his head on the ice and it looked like he was unconscious for a little while there. Guessing it's a concussion, but it's not confirmed at this point. I'm guessing 3-4 games max for Ruutu, since he has a history and Artturi was injured.

I think the hit was clean besides the fact that it was just way too late. Ruutu could've easily avoided the contact if wanted, as you can see;
Hi, I was just wondering about Teravainen. When he was drafted by the Hawks they said they were projecting him as a centre...I was wondering if you thought he would go that way or whether he looked more like a wing.
also...i was wondering how long he was going to stay in finland...do you think he'll stay there for at least another year?
Where to see goals from Kalpa - HPK game ? At site where I usual watch highlights (neloenpro or smth like that) there is only HIFK - Jokerit game so far...

thanks.
He definitely looks more like a winger to me. I think he can be a very effective one in the NHL and he could also be used on the point on PP.

Helsinki Derby with 2 clean hits and 2 players injured thanks to rock hard rink and plexi glass. Get those safety rinks there asap!
I sure as hell hope this wasn't Ville Peltonen's last game. He deserves a much better ending to his career. What a shame.
