Rumors going around Luongo could be dealt, perhaps a deal is close.

The only team that makes sense to me is Toronto.
The more I think about it the more I think a deal to Tampa Bay makes sense. They are hanging their hat on Lindbeck but he is a big question mark. Goaltending killed them last year. Seems like a perfect fit. They'd probably have some pieces that Vancouver wanted too. What about Lecavalier?

That's what I always thought as well. Tampa needs goaltending and Luongo wants to go back to Florida.
I just thought the fact they acquired Lindback threw a wrench into that.
I don't think Vancouver can do Lecavalier's contract. Vancouver is already going to have to move quite a few pieces next year as is just to stay under the cap. They'll be almost 10mil over next years cap (counting both Burrows' and Edlers' extensions.).

I could certainly see Tampa as a destination for Luongo. I honestly thought he'd land there in the offseason before Toronto or Florida, but then Tampa got Lindback and seemed content.
The odd name being talked about is Washington. Seems to be making the rounds as a possibility here.
nino niederreiter has asked for a trade from the islanders apparently. Not happy there. I think he didn't even get an opportunity to go to the training camp despite leading his AHL team in scoring, 6th overall in the AHL.

Lol, you cannot have this many small forwards and an all offense team like edmonton and expect to win hockey games...they are exciting yes, but still a bad team...look at how Oklahoma City was a mediocre team in AHL with those stars, Edmonton will be last or near it again. And they will be there until they learn to build a team rather than a bunch of individual (and same) players...
