Luongo isn't as bad as everyone makes him out to be, 2nd in saves, 2nd in wins, and 3rd in shutouts from the last lockout.
The guy just gets thrown under the bus in Vancouver, as I don't know why as their Luongo/Schneider combo is similar to the Bruins old Thomas/Rask combo.
Teams should embrace 2 great goalies in their city instead of killing the combo with hatred, because the likes of Hannu Toivenen and Rob Tallas will be the back ups one day again, and that aint an easy pill to swallow.
P.S. he is still going to the Panthers or the Bolts.
17 mil coming off the cap. Brodeur gone after next season, will need a bonafide NHL goalie and Luongo's deal is very friendly to them because it's over so many years...Plus would give the fans a "name" and the team someone easy to market.
Wonder if Luongo would even consider getting moved there however.

that actually makes the most sense of any of the scenarios floating around.
Playing him 4/6 times a year? Oh boy. Plus, Schneider looks to be very shaky and could give Vancouver a bit of a disadvantage. They won't be able to go from inconsistent to nutjob anymore, then they'll have an inconsistent nutjob.

He's a great goalie when there's nothing on the line. No one doubts that.
However, unfortunately for Robeeerto ..... he is a choker.
Then when they relocate to Quebec City the French-Canadian Gold-Medal winning goalie is the face of the Franchise for the next decade for the Nordiques.
