The guys on hockeycentral were speculating about Washington being a possible candidate if Caps Management don't have faith in Holtby/Neuvirth
I'd take Holtby as a back-up to Dubnyk. I watched him his entire junior career and in the offseason he works out at my gym. He's a hard worker who still needs a bit of time to develop and probably shouldn't be shouldering the brunt of the load in Washington yet.
So if you're Luongo how do you feel about this crap? If it's a done deal then it's done, if not shut the hell up so that you aren't distracting your players.
Gillis spills to the media that a deal is close - putting Lou in limbo while he's trying to concentrate on just playing the game (good timing considering the start Vancouver's had, and the "goalie controversy") - effectively showing everyone how much of an ass he is....
jk...but it's been a while since anything's been his fault, and i got to do one of these posts.
would a Hemsky for Luong trade work? The Nucks are in a win now mode as the window is closing. Hemsky put on a show the other night so ti would be easy for the fans to accept.
Maybe Gillis's statement about the other team making a move is a Duby trade? I like Dubnyk but Luongo is one of the better NHL goalies and would be a cornerstone for our 5 year window.
Why would we help out the Canucks by giving them Hemsky. I don't think the Canucks are going to get a return like that for Luongo's contract. I'd rather see them pay one of their "star" goalies to sit on the bench.
