Did you watch Holtby in the playoff last year?

That's exactly the kind of goalie a team in a win now mode need.

for those who were thinking that the nucks sent Vandermeer done to free up a spot for a trade--Nucks have 23 players in their roster with the recall of the great Jorden Schroder

The only people who think Washington might be interested in trading for Luongo are Canucks fans.

for Gunnar and Kuleman though? You would probably want to talk an negotiate an extension first no?

I know Kuleman isn't the most popular amongst leaf fans, but he still holds value and Gunnarson obviously means a lot to your team.

dunno, just seems like a lot for an upcoming FA, Detroit could really use Gunnarson though so I could see definite interest there

Indeed

It was the same for the past 3-5 years now.

Every time they find a team around the league showing the sightless need for a goalie, plenty of Vancouver goalies proposal follow....

Likewise.

Toronto just doesn't have the assets to get it done unfortunately.

I honestly don't see a single team that would take Luongo.

Calgary- Rebuilding
Chicago- Doubtful
Columbus- No, sticking with younger guys
Florida- Possibly but with Markstrom who knows
Tampa- No, sticking with young
Toronto- Doubtful, too many other holes
Washington- No, Caps need scoring not goaltending help
Winnipeg- Just signed Pavelec to long term

Sorry Roberto.

And why could not it happen to Schneider as well?

Schneider is actually less proven than Mason, Jim Carey or Raycroft after their first years.

And Schneider is not that much more proven than Holtby. (Actually Holtby is more playoff proven!)

There is a reason why Luongo has not been traded yet....

Why are Canuck fans riding Toronto's sack for a trade?

There isn't anybody we want from that team. Luongo is NOT going to bloody Toronto.

Kadri? No thanks..

it was a little off topic, but I mentioned Detroit during the post. No big deal though, I don't think Luongo or Howard in his current contract state is worth Kuleman and Gunnarson

Leaf fans don't want anything to do with Luongo either, we don't want him in Toronto to begin with, so its completely mutual.

Kadri won't be traded. He just got a vote of confidence from RC, and got to play fulltime for the first time since his draft year. He has looked really good too, and if he continues, will fill a big hole in our top 6. Don't see Nonis moving him at all. Plus, he has said a million times he isn't moving good young talent for veteran talent.

It Vancouvers demand are actually being met, it is not by us.
