it would take more than just Kadri, but I admit to valuing Kadri higher than most Canuck fans because I liked his game so much a the AHL level. I know Toronto won't give him up (as of right now) but it doesn't make sense for the Canucks for just Kadri either

Why do we keep these threads open?

To people wondering why Canucks fans maintain such a high value, its because our management has shown nothing to suggest they would take a soft deal on Luongo. No part of our management. So who do we listen to? The people making decisions (Who aren't Blowhard Burkie, spouting off everytime a microphone's near his face)? Or the media members and you lot.

I know who I'll listen to.

Gonna go out on a limb and say Lundqvist has a terrible start to the season, is bought out, and then Luongo is traded to NYR for Rick Nash, Derek Stepan, and Stu Bickel.

You know. Just to even it out a bit.

Edit: @TMLGunners - WHY? Why are the Canucks so desperate to get rid of Luongo right now? What has anyone in the organization done or said to possibly give you that impression?

Freakin delusional over there in Toronto man. It's like the Fox News of the NHL. Just hear what you want to hear and see what you want to see.

There isn't anybody we want from that team. Luongo is NOT going to bloody Toronto.

Kadri? No thanks..
Guess you are one of those fans who decided not to watch the 2013 season as a boycott for the lockout.

I would have considered Kadri in the package during an offseason trade, perhaps, but he has played himself off the table at this point.

Is it time for Washington to get an elite level goalie? Is Luongo an elite level goalie (lol)?

he is an elite goalie, Washington doesn't have the need as of right now

can't believe people in this thread still question his abilities. You can hate the contract, believe that he will decline within a few years, or that the Canucks need to move him now... that's fine, but to say that he isn't among the best right now is ridiculous

Personally after seeing Kadri play the past 2 games I wouldn't trade Kadri straight up for Luongo. Find another team to take that terrible contract. Good luck getting a top prospect lol

It's pretty obvious. Nobody needs to scream it from the rooftops for it to not still be present. Schneider has another bad game or two and it's back to Luongo if he's still there. I would expect it to be a season-long issue.

IF washington is in on it what would you think the pieces would be? Gillis has said that he has been asking for a Roster player + a Good prospect.

Could Filip Forsberg be in the trade?

Van:
Brouwer
Forsberg

WSH:
Luongo
Raymond

??

Gillis DID say it was no one that people were talking about.

Thank God it's mutual. Too bad us fans have zero say in the matter.

We don't want anybody on your roster, and you don't want our back up goalie? It's perfect!

Montreal and Buffalo are the class of the East and Kadri's goals are going to end up going head to head as goals of the year.

Lets get real. Kadri is on the third line on a lottery team. He's potted a couple goals. I hope he stays with you guys, as Wilson messed his development up and ruined his confidence. It would be great to see him overcome that. The way some of you fans talk though, you would think he has exploded out if the gate like Tarasenko.

Anyways, for me, Toronto is out if the running. I don't think they were ever in and don't know if Luongo would have ever waived to go there. My money is on Philadelphia or Washington.

2 games > Luongo's proven status of a top goalie for many years

I'm one of guys that likes Kadri a ton, but straight up isn't enough for the Canucks.

The Hockey News is reporting that Lou will end up in Toronto.

Ok Knuckleheads, you can have Connolly, MacArthur and a 2nd round pick.

why couldn't they get better? Luongo's price changes as demand goes up and down. As of right now, there is seemingly a small demand, but that could change easily
