Evgeni Malkin should just surrender the MVP to Daniel Winnik

Of course he sucked for the Sharks.

Goes to the rival ducks, now he will lead them to multiple cups.

He did the samething in Colorado when he arrived. He'll cool off eventually and become a place where offense goes to die, just give it time.

Still a great penalty killer though, Avs could really use him with McClement/O'Reilly gone.

I'm sure Geno will rebound from this slump and get MVP title back. But Winnik looks like a legit competitor. To the better - Malkin likes competition.

Saku Koivu is the man behind Winnik's success. 1+4 so far...

Wonder how his Claude Giroux-adjusted points look like. Probably pretty impressive.

If I were the Ducks, I'd trade Perry for a 2nd round pick and sign Winnik for 30m/5y

He will win the Maurice-Richard, Hart, Art Ross, Conn Smythe, Selke, Vezina and Jack Adams trophies for sure. What an elite talent the Ducks have there! Probably their best player since Antti Aalto, magic hands, highest hockey IQ in the league (he made some tests about it, it is over 9000!), elite shot, fastest player in the league.

And then he got injured! Damn, he was awesome for the first 30 games. It was his careers best season and likely the peak he could have been producing without that injury.

The Anton has recognized Winnik for his impressive feat (and impressive feet), but has not yet decided whether The Anton himself wants any shiny hardware at the end of the year, so it's impossible to declare Winnik the winner of these awards until The Anton has made such a ruling.

Shooting percentage at 66.6%. It's true. I guess 2/3 would be more precise.
