I like him, but I'm not so sold on him that I would be happy dumping what would be necessary out of Winnipeg/Winnipeg's system to get him.

I wouldn't do that in a million years from the pens POV. Drop Pouliot and maybe we're talking

Its basically Nino for Pirri as Beach is just garbage throw in

Maybe Dylan Olsen would be appealing to Isles

He has one point in 55 career NHL games and you are offering that? He isn't worth Tangradi at this point. I would offer a fourth rounder at best.

I can't imagine there will be a lot of teams clamoring for this guy right now. A 20-year-old who shouldn't have been in the NHL and played poorly, who hasn't even played a full season of hockey in the AHL, complaining about not being on the team? Unless it's a personal thing (Doesn't get along with Capuano, Snow, Weight etc.), I don't think teams will be a in big rush to get him. Think of Kyle Turris last year.

Nino could be one of those guys that just tears up the AHL but can never make an impact in the NHL. I guess the NYI have seen the same.

Really? Nino is almost 4 years younger and has 10 moregoals and 22 more points

Yet Beach is more than enough to get a deal done?

I'm so tired of this behavior. These kids on their ELCs that believe they've earned the right to be UFAs. Turris and Mueller did it on the Yotes and now Nino is doing it on the Isles. Ridiculous.

That's a lot IMO, take out Pouliot and maybe add another one of our prospects or pick

Really?

23 yr old Beach:34 games, 9 goals, 5 assists.

20 yr old Nino: 39 games, 19 goals, 17 assists.

I'm sorry. The isles want Beach because???????

He still has a lot of potential and as a first round pick with lots of years to show his worth, it's going to take something decent to get him. We have a surplus of D prospects so it make sense to offer one up. Potentially offering a G prospect as well could work for a replacement for Nabokov as either a starter or backup.

I suspect they could get a little more than Pirri back for him. We aren't that far out from him being the #5 pick. Like with Beach, it will take some time for everyone to accept he was a bad pick.

Well for starters, he has proven he can score at the NHL level, something Nino hasnt proven yet, and as a big center, isnt a bad option and has a bit more value then a prospect who hasnt proven anything in terms of playing in the NHL.

Beach for Nino is actually a perfect trade.

How legit is the source?

It was like vultures reading the long line of garbage proposals to try and get Nino, if he does want out the islanders are going to have a bidding war.

The original deal someone said of Pirri + Beach looks good for both sides. Or Olsen instead of Pirri.
