It's immature of him to ask for a trade and it would be unwise of the Islanders to trade him. Hopefully this issue can sort itself out.

I'm sure it has more to do with the fact that they were content to let him ride the bench to keep them above the cap floor last year and this year he doesn't get a shot.

So, you judge 20 years olds based on what they've shown, rather than potential? Makes sens, because everyone knows players peak at 19.

Seriously, people are way underrating Nino. If he had been in juniors last year, then had the kind of year he is having this year in the AHL, he would be considered a top prospect. Last year was a learning experience for Nino. Kind of like when Joe Thornton scored 3 goals his rookie year.

Beach has also had a year off on account of injury last year, so age means really little also.

And the Isle would want Beach for the same reason the Hawks would want Nino, just to roll the dice on somebody else. Its not rocket science, and theres no difiniative proof that Nino would be better then Beach in the NHL. None what so ever.
Isles aren't rolling the dice on 23 yr old Beach.

He's been less impressive then forward prospects Nino, Nelson, Ullstrom, Cizakas.

I wonder if kabanov would have also been more impressive then Beach, if he hadn't missed most of the season, after getting his arm cut by that skate blade?

UMMMM ... you just bring up Bennett. It's not rocket science here. No sense trading any top end talent for a kid that has one point in 55 games, when you have a kid that could do that in Bennett. I'm sure Beau could get one point in six games with the Pens.

I don't think Snow trades him, no matter what Nino wants.

Not sure if you are serious. Nino is still a great player that was fed fourth line minutes and stunted his development for one year. This year he is leading his AHL team something Beach never did and is quite a bit older.

In addition Nino would at least fetch a similar return to Turris. Please stop acting as if Nino is 24 years old and still hasnt made it to the NHL.

Doughty and Voynov don't play like Hamonic. With Greene out and Mitchell/Scuderi coming closer to their end, kings need someone like Hamonic. I know Isles have no reason to trade him, that's why i asked what kind of overpayment it would take.

Bennett could also have his spot there if we would simply remove Dupuis from the Crosby line and place him where he should be on the 3rd line. And yes Bennett would have a point in 6 games playing with Crosby and Malkin not rocket science but would he have one on the Islanders? Not so sure

What do you think the value of a 20 year old who has proven nothing in the NHL is?

Thorton scored 7 times as many points as Niederreiter that year

This might be the first fair trade on here. I see Pittsburgh being a fit. Pouliot for Nino. Pitt is loaded with talented D. Adding Nino gives them a possible young star at F.

ok so your plan is to move a guy who scored 59 points last year with 22 even strength goals to the 3rd line and put two completely unproven guys in the top 6?

Snow is not a big Luke Schenn fan. We realized that after the 2008 draft, when Snow tradedc down and passed on Luke. So go on and take Schenn out.

Not much incentive really, to send a big, skilled forward to Philly.
