You don't even have to include Luke Schenn. Voracek is more than enough for me. Him on the 1st line with JT would be amazing.

Huge overpayment IMO. A disgruntled player who asks for a trade and hasn't done much at the pro level isn't going to get 2 1sts and a 2nd. Not even close.

What are the Islanders needs?

Would David Savard or Tim Erixon + LA 2013 1st for Nino be beneficial to the Islanders?

Both Savard and Erixon are really good defensive prospects that are expendable due to depth, not value or play. Either could step in and get 16 minutes and contribute offensively.

The sense of entitlement in todays NHL is ridiculous.

If you can't play your way on to the Islanders, what makes you think you can make any other team in the NHL? That's only a slight knock to the Islanders, but really they have a lot of other good young talent with other guys like Strome and Brock Nelson knocking on the door as well. Just because you're a first round draft pick, does not give you any right to have a cake walk.

Question seconded.

I have to admit I agree with posters who think Isles should just leave him be and hope it sorts itself out. But since we're talking about it...

Heck no from Philly that's way too much for a no-show rental and a good but not great prospect like Nino. Will gladly return you a 2nd back for Lubo if he's willing to comeback to the NHL for us.

I would expect that a deal similar to the Turris trade could down.

Snow sees Nino as a potential 1st line star and will want a similar youngster back.

We know from Snow's stubborness when talking trades, that he doesn't care if opposing fans or gms agree with him. Snow demands quality for quality.

He has a glut of unproven youngsters, so depth trades for potential young studs hold no appeal.

I'd love an Evander kane for Nino + deal.

Most of the proposals in this thread are laughable. Wet dreams for opposing fans.

Total huge overpayment. I wouldn't give up a top flight D prospect for him at all right now. You use those chips to get a significant piece, not a disgruntled player who hasn't shown much and you are basing it off on potential.

Tarasenko is 21. Did he have no value at age 20?

So, let me get this straight, the Islanders have been ruining young players by tossing them into the NHL too early, and then when they get started on the right path and stop that insanity, their prospects gets pissed?

Sorry Islanders fans. The franchise will be good eventually.

A lot of reactions to Nino's trade demand rumor is misdirected...it has nothing to do with him not earning a roster spot, he has...this has to do with comments he made during the lock out, and management is punishing him for it. Fine, trade him then. Don't hurt your team, and your prospect, over some dumb ass comment.

Huge overpayment for Nino on the Oilers part.

Most i'd offer is Pitlick + 2nd. And no way Isles would do that.

The Isles didn't do him any favors though. He was completely mishandled last year and he came out strong this year. I know it was an abbreviated training camp and all, but he couldn't be happy not even being invited and seeing Strome and Reinhart (technically his juniors) being there for a couple of days.

With that said, he should have kept his mouth shut and made sure the Isles had no other option than to keep him with his play. I guess not. Ugh, it's days like today I question my Isles fandom for a minute or two.
