Conspiracy Theory:

Are the dogs giving all this playing time to Stortini because they want to develop a heavyweight enforcer to be useful, to have a Shawn Thornton type player on the Habs one day?

Stortini will never play in the NHL ever again. He wouldn't be able to lace Thornton's skates if he ever wanted to. Thornton knows how to play hockey compared to this goon.

This is really strange what's going on over there. Seems that Habs brass is happy with Lefebvre's way of playing the game, that they understand it's a learning process and that the kids has to play. Yet, Stortini gets all that time. It baffles me really.

Really hope Holland still has a lot of room to improve. He's too good a stick handler to go to waste.

Stortini isn't a heavyweight enforcer, he is a middleweight punching bag.

Well the Bulldogs do miss Blunden, Gallagher and Palushaj. If they get those players back, and they probably will, maybe they'll start winning some.

Occam's razor says it's more that Lefebvre is a **** coach.

Holland is still an NHL longshot but there's high reward potential there IMO. You can't teach that vision and puck handling, he's also a plus skater. If he can put on some strength he will stand a good shot at making it.

I doubt Holland becomes good enough to be a top 6 player, and not too many playmaking perimeter players secure a spot on the third line.

He's definitely a long shot, but it's possible to be a playmaking depth scorer. Could actually compliment Eller nicely. Still, he needs to bulk up and develop a 2-way NHL level game to stand a chanc.

slight chance he gets a very small taste this year.

Even then he will still be in the AHL next year again for most of the season at least. If management is small they leave him there all year next year and bring him in slowly 2 seasons from now.

If there's 3 injuries and Subban doesn't sign, then yeah. If that doesn't happen he won't see any time this year.

Wilson loved Hagel, whereas Lefebvre prefers Stortini.

Irreconcilable differences.

I know Wilson has a history with the Bulldogs, but didn't they just bring him in again with the new management? Or was he here from before?

I remember he was fired a few years ago. Don't remember when he was hired again.
