Carlo Colaiacovo could spend three weeks on the IR with a stubbed toe, if only Scott Nichol could give him some leftover toughness. I'm convinced that he could survive a nuclear blast, that guy has heart.
Brunner just did the Datsyuk! He didn't roof it like Dats, but it was still great.
Yeah that was pretty filthy, had to see it in slow mo to comprehend it lol. Also, CBJ aren't going to be an easy w anymore. They're not going to do anything fancy and they probably won't be all that great for a while but they're building something and have some direction finally.
Too bad for CBJ. I agree they won't be the pushovers they were last season, which is hilarious because the Rangers on the other hand (my favorite Eastern team) have been pretty bad in their first two games. Maybe they just need to get back up to speed, but I was never confident of their trade for Rick Nash. Anisimov and Dubinsky are great players.

I'm not really down on the Rangers honestly. They had to play two very good teams. They haven't looked great, but I still think they will win the East, in the regular season and the playoffs.
I feel sorry for him. I honestly believe he has a mental issue (like hypochondria, but with injuries instead of illnesses). I think he's so scared of getting hurt that he convinces himself the slightest thing is a major injury.
Either that or he's just a ****....
I think hes a bit of a flincher now, and I think that can sometimes make him take more force than he otherwise would.

Hmm, not too sure about that. They lost pretty bad against those teams. Granted I didn't watch either of the games too closely, but I still don't think the trade for Nash was worth it. Maybe after a few games or so it will be and they bounce back, which would be great. But right now I don't have much hope for them.
Plus I really liked Anisimov and Dubinsky. I was sad when they were traded.
Detroit might have lost Lidström, but they did pick up a couple of guys who last season played on the top pairing of the best defensive team the League has seen in decades. I'm sure they'll be fine.

They don't have anyone like Petro that will make those guys look like serviceable top pairing players, though.
