This is pretty nice value, you'd have to think this might catch NYI's eye.

That quickly beats any of the offers proposed in the other thread that was locked. Seems like it would work for both teams, but as mentioned there's the matter of it being in-division.

I'd say his value is roughly equal to Turris. Nino is a little younger and a little cheaper than Turris was last year (signed to a 2yr, 2.8m, 1.4avg at the time of the trade). However, Turris was more proven, having just had a solid showing in the NHL playoffs. I'd say their value is basically the same.

If your offer isn't as good as Rundblad (top pairing potential) and a 2nd, than you probably shouldn't bother posting it.

Agreed. I might give Nino the slight edge on value though compared to Turris. They are similar situations though.

As always, the value isn't set by whether or not a player wants a trade, it's set by the market. With no NTC (obviously) and no noteworthy salary, there's no restriction on the market. He's still a great prospect, so there's no reason -whatsoever - to believe he wouldn't return good value.

A player requesting a trade only significantly influences the value that can be expected in certain situations - especially players with NTCs, who can dictate where they want to go and thereby limiting the market, which ultimately always determines the price. This situation (in case the reports are accurate) has very little to do with that. His value isn't inherentlich impacted by this.

Disagree. Turris had higher value.

Turris was a former 3rd overall, while Nino is a former 5th. Nino was also scouted to go more in the 12-16 range. So it's likely that 5th selection was an overating by the NYI.

Although Nino probably should not have been playing in the NHL, that doesn't change the fact he did and absolutely stank. This is gonig to have some impact on his trade value, although not necessarily crucial.

So the value of Nino is less than Runblad + 2nd, not more or equal to.

In theory that would be nifty. In practice, I'm not sure what we could send. The only blueline needs we can really address are prospect-based, and aside from one obvious name (not gonna happen, btw ) I'm not sure if there's anyone we have that 1) we can realistically give up and 2) the Isles would find desirable.

for

Nino

Hammer for Nino.

Beach and Saad for Nino and a 3rd.

If Nino wants out of Brooklyn the Hawks have plenty to offer...

Bowman would be an idiot not to get this kid. The blackhawks have more than enough to get a deal done.

I would of said something like MacA + Percy but MacA is a UFA so I doubt NYI would want him.

I went to the same well on the Isle's board. I'd argue Nino has more value as he is a goal scorer putting up similar numbers as Kyle at an earlier age, but then there is the one point in 50+ games last year in the NHL deflating that argument.

The Isle's could use a puck moving defenseman in his 20s, so that's what I'd ask for, and fill the package in on both sides from there. Maybe you move Nino and someone like Bailey for a decent defensive prospect in his mid 20s. Defensemen are at a premium these days though so I wouldn't want to speculate on final cost.

Gormley for Nino is the most logical one I think so far, helps the Yotes up front, they already have a solid back end.

Gormley actually makes a lot of sense and seems quite fair.

Maybe Phoenix adds a 2nd rounder to round it, but I think this is doable.

isles are actually set with d prospects like very well, they need wingers, they are really deep at center and after only drafting d men last year and claiming 3 young dmen that were never given legit chances off of waivers prior to the season i would say that the only way the isles take a dman back in a trade is if they are already a top 4 nhl talent which is unlikely especially if it is true that lubo comes over within the next few weeks

Phoenix shouldn't have to add anything. Personally, I don't think he is worth Gormley. I wouldn't trade him for Nino.

His value should be close to Erixons when he requested a trade.

Long shot prospect (Horak) + 2 2nd round picks.
