They'll try to keep him for sure, but I don't think Howard will stay. Kobe's ball hogging doesn't gell well with a player like Howard, and it's been pretty evident so far.

Well, ball hogging wouldn't work with any 2 star players.

Amir Johnson:A-
Heart of the team. Can play 2 positions, start or come off the bench. Very versatile.
Jose Calderon: B
Shooting the lights out and setting up teammates. Has stopped pounding the ball for 20+ seconds of the shotclock. Stiil terrible defensively though.
Derozan: C-
Not deserving of his contract extension. Is in love with long 2s, the most inefficient shot in basketball. Has poor handles, can't create for others and is pretty bad defensively.
Bargnani: F
The team's improvement since his absence says it all.
Valunciunas: C
Has looked OK. Other centers have eaten him alive but he is a rookie so it is to be expected. Should come off the bench when he returns.
Lowry: B-
Had an amazing start, but then started to remind me of Mike James with the way he was chucking out there. Has stopped with the selfish play since he came back. Needs to be a better teammate at times, seen him stare down Ross for a mistake, needs to be a leader.
Alan Anderson B-
He's produced but I hate how he thinks he is Lebron out there. Way too selfish out there.
Fields: D
He can't shoot worth s###! but can rebound and defend...not worth his contract at all, but can play off the ball with cuts to the basket. Needs to improve his FTs.
Ross: C+
Has a nice package of skills, athletic as hell, smooth jumpshot, good defender. But falls in love with his jumpshot when it isn't falling and never attacks the basket.
Acy: C
Short, but long wingspan. Can block shots and finish at the rim, and draw charges. Done what is asked of him.
Gray: D
Big, slow and dumb. Has no hands and is good for 2 illegal screens a quarter.
Kleiza: F
Thinks he is the European MJ or something. A terrible chucker.
Lucas III: D
Another chucker (boy we have a lot). Doesn't create for others.
Pietrus: C-
Has lost his shooting ability but can play defense. Meh pickup.

Colangelo: F-
Needed to go yesterday. Overpays for mediocrity and scrubs. Trades draft picks away like candy. Is in love with Bargnani.

Casey: D
Has terrible gametime management. Poor timeouts, plays out of timeouts, inbounding plays. Gives guys minutes because of their contracts, and not their play. Bad rotations.
Good analysis that's almost mine to a T. I agree with all your points. Thanks for participating.

The Lakers need to sign Dwight for this very reason but I don't think Howard wants to play with Kobe even if it is just a couple more years.

I would love to see Dwight sign somewhere else although there is a real appeal I'm sure to playing in LA. If they lose Howard and then Kobe in 2 years that franchise is pretty ****ed

Sick trade for Cleveland. That's the kind of trades a rebuilding team can do when they have capspace. *cough* BC *cough*

Didn't they essentially get a 1st from the Clippers (turned into Irving) for taking on Baron Davis' salary as well?

BC prefers to waste cap space on signing guys like Kleiza and Fields.

Come on NN...

Players with small sample size, unproven track record and low ceiling?

Can't think of a better way to spend those $$ myself!

So it's pretty much official that the Hornets are changing to the Pelicans. I wonder if a name change for the Raps will ever be in the cards? I know UCONN has it, but I wouldn't mind being the Huskies.

Huge Memphis fan, so in order to keep Rudy and Z-bo we would have to drop Speights, Ellington had his games but he's too inconsistent and Selby could be something there in cleveland there just wasn't PT for him here. We were going to try to sign Bill Walker but he's out of shape, and we backed out on Delonte West well for obvious reasons. Delonte, Z-bo, and Tony allen on the same team? LOL.

I've always thought Toronto Huskies would be a decent choice for the team. Better than Raptors at least. At least Huskies has vaguely Canadian connotations, albeit not so much Toronto itself.

The name change makes sense for New Orleans because the Hornets name was never their's to begin with. But it wouldn't make much sense for us, we created this franchise from scratch with that name, why would we just change it for no reason? Seems very unprofessional IMO, and a cheap ploy to try and make new merchandise revenue.

It's not unprofessional, considering there was a team called the Toronto Huskies way back when in the Basketball Association of America.

Oh I know conspiracy within the draft is a huge thing, I myself acknowledge it and think that was the intent in that year's draft (to get the Cavs a new superstar). However if they really wanted to play with our minds, they should have had the Cavs pick win the lotto.

We steered away from that design though, he had purple fever, and personally I'd rather have that than the red and black we have now.

21 assists on 29 field goals so far. Love how unselfish everyone's playing.

This stupid Nike commercial for Kobe only makes me never want to buy anything with his name on it. Even his commercial comes off like a massive, bragging ego-stroke.
