I would of said something like MacA + Percy but MacA is a UFA so I doubt NYI would want him.

The reason I said Nino for Gormley is because it helps both teams....

Nino would be the yotes highest potential young foward. and they Hve plenty have talent on D to not Miss Gormley.

Isles dont have any Wing prospects with the potential that Nino has but Strome or Nelson could convert to wing if need be...Gormley would most def be on the Isles Blue line this year imo and would be an important player for them.

The Isles are set with d prospects?

While they have great depth, they lack a true dynamic defenseman.

Wasn't Erixon headed to fall back into the draft? Nino is signed, which makes it quite a different situation.

lol, erixon had absolutely no chance of making the rangers d corp which is why he requested a trade and sather saw the reasoning in that, nino is pretty much guaranteed a roster spot next season, and is just mad that he wasn't even invited to camp, snow shouldn't take nino's request to have the same merit as sather took erixons

Nah. The pressure was on Calgary to deal him quickly since all they would've gotten in return was the comp pick. NYI don't have any time pressure at work.

People should know that he just turned 20 last September and has been putting better number this season than the prospects you are returning in the trade. 36 points in 39 games.

Just like Turris he would return another top prospect.

why do you need a "true dynamic d man" when every one projected into the isles future top 4 can effectively move the puck as well as play positionally sound d?

the rangers and the canucks don't have this "true dynamic d man" and they are arguably the 2 best teams on paper

Turris got Rundblad and a 2nd. So I think Nino can get something similar but slightly lower.

Nino for Lucas Lessio and a 2nd from Phoenix (I see this as a good fit). Maybe Phoenix adds a late round pick or depth forward.

There is absolutely no use trading Nino now. The only trades they could get now would be for a Downgrade in a player and a 2nd round pick. If the Islanders trade Nino it should be in a package with some other stuff for an Upgrade(which isn't happening till the end of the season)

I'd give Kane for Okposo, Nino, 2014 1st, 2015 1st.

I'd love him on the Sharks. They could use a young goal-scoring winger. I don't know if they have the pieces to get a deal done though. Personally, I'd offer Hertl + Braun.

As an Isles fan I definitely would think twice about doing it, not sure Chicago does it.

Only way I do it though is if the Islanders have a commitment from ownership to field a close to cap max team(ie we willing to go out and improve the team via UFA)

Kane is a great player, but not worth that. Sorry. Take out one of the 1st's and its probably good.

They are years away from fulfilling their potential, and with the exception of Reinhart not one is projected to be top pair potential. They are all 2nd line and under depth. CdH was supposed to be the big gun for the future but his constant injury history makes him, basically, a giant question mark you can't count on.
