Well he hasn't realized it in about 5 years so why start now?

Anyone just kinda happy we have Canes hockey back. Sure, it's brutal, but I've never been more excited to watch hockey than I have been in the last four days. I don't care if we lose 10-0, it's just fun to have this team back again.

I'm sure that'll fade by, I dunno, February 1st, but for now it's awesome.

Switch Corvo with Allen and give me McBain of last season over Sangs and we are immediately a better team. It appears as though we regressed defensively, and I didn't think that was possible.

I miss dmen with any semblance of defensive play. I'm almost glad that i'm going to be missing a bunch of games this year if this keeps up

Team is SO unmotivated its not even funny. You would think playing at home after just getting blown out would energize them, but nope. Lazy zone clearance, d coverage, passing, etc.... Lines arent meshing, Ward's playing awful. Just a trainwreck.

Absolutely. Much better than wondering "what if there was a season".

We have a guy that used to torch us everytime we played him paired with EStaal. Never thought that would happen.

That's what I am thinking.

Faulk looks good out there.

Faulk / Pitkanen
Gleason / Allen
McBain / Harrison

That would have been a very serviceable D. That wouldn't hurt us this freaking bad.

Jordan Staal has been fine in both games. I don't know where the out of shape comment is coming from.

Positive notes:
Bowman on the first line.
Semin's Passing
Faulk
Eric playing something of a physical game?

Bryan Allen being very overrated again. They need a guy LIKE him, but not him. They need a much better Bryan Allen. And that encompasses half the league.

I dunno it was kind of nice having a social life and not being "that guy who always bails on stuff because of hockey games." I also had a relationship last a month longer than it probably otherwise would have.

On a related note:

High expectations vs output

I would put it on his D pairing for some of that crap.

If Bryan Allen is playing with Gleason and Faulk is with Pitkanen, Sanguinettii is in the AHL where he belongs.

He beat out one of the Lightning defenders to get a possession in the offensive zone before Corvo's turnover. I'd say he looks pretty decent.

EDIT: That was way too long for what I was actually trying to say.

My actual message: Do NOT resign Corvo, give Regehr whatever he wants next year to be a Carolina Hurricane.

I think it was more of a case of Allen not wanting to be here rather than us not wanting him. I base this off of his comments of the goon like immature attitude this team had after a Boston game I believe
